color which actually photographed a lot better than I think it looks in person (it comes off as kind of
beige in person).

beige is a
very pale brown
color, variously described as a pale sandy fawn
color, a grayish tan, a
light - grayish yellowish brown, or a pale to grayish yellow.
You just need a
very light highlight
color, a
light - medium
beige color, and then a darker brownish - gray
color.
The
light beige color is unique and the leather is soft, and smooth, with a
very slight suede feel.
I'm not sure on the best
color for your kitchen, since
colors can look
very different depending on how much
lighting the room gets etc and it depends on your personal taste, my favorite
colors are greige (a combination of gray and
beige) and gray.
Now, one
beige shade close to my natural
color and the second one
very light as if the sun had brightened my hair.
The
color should be bluish gray or,
very rarely,
light brown with or without pale cream or
beige tan markings.
The mix of
light wood,
beige / brown
colors with some bright touches and open bathrooms with glass separation makes for a
very pleasant ambiance.
Your comment about white walls as a backdrop for bolder
colors is particularly significant fo me as the previous owners of my new «old» house repainted everything except the bedrooms / baths in a custom
color that was probably meant to be a
beige but in most
light looks to me like a
very soft golden yellow with even a hint of peach (not ugly, but only the barest hint of
beige in the shadows — can't imagine why or how they chose it).
Revere Pewter is a great
color but again depending on your
light and look
VERY beige (as it does it my house).
