a very little white paint against a field of action I render at once active and inert by making it entirely white.

Hellloooo Beach Cottage lovelies, welcome to a
little bit of classic beach cottage decorating, updating via
white paint and some Frenchy coastal style something that wasn't too nice... and all
very much DIY......
No matter, acrylics is a
very forgiving medium, so I mixed some almost
white paint (a
little lighter than the sky) and made it a touch runnier with a drop of water, so it would flow better.
And those things
very quickly became elongated into like flat
paintings with horizontal lines,
little white lines leading to the center.

I have a cream kitchen (not
white), with double stacked cabinets to the ceiling, pale yellow walls and Juperana Gold counters and faux travertine (heated) floors... I live in a
very GRAY city (literally some of the least days of sunshine in the country)-- so for my mental health, I prefer a war, bright palette in my personal (historic, dark tudor) home... where there is tons of medium dark wainscoating throughout all the non-kitchen spaces, with only a
little painted woodwork.
I'm using «Creamy Buttermilk» by Glidden (mixed in this Valspar
paint formula) and I would say it's
very similar to Annie Sloan Old
White or Cece Caldwell Vintage
White, perhaps a
little creamier.
I even thought about spray
painting one all
white and one a
very soft pink to use as décor in our
little girls room!
