You have to admit it is interesting that The Bible, written thousands of years ago, predicted a «begging» to the universe which many who think their science is the «
gospel» would have disputed by that
very same science is
gospel logic not too long ago.
He writes in book The Meaning of Marriage, «The
gospel is this: We are more sinful and flawed than we ever dared believe, yet at the
very same time we are more loved and accepted in Jesus Christ than we ever dared hope.»
And the
gospel narratives about the resurrection of Jesus portray a «body» which was indeed
very strange — a «body» which in one sense is presented as quasi-physical, to be sure, but, which also can appear without movement from place to place, a «body» which bears the marks of his passion, but which is not exactly the
same as the body which hung upon the cross.
Without overlooking the manipulative and deceptive purposes of the mass media, it should not be forgotten that this
same atemporal concept is used by those who make use of the fantasy of the media to communicate
very effectively the fantasy of their own «
gospel».

very same chapter portrays Jesus as one who clearly recognized that there was something new in what he said, for we have the repeated words from his mouth, «You have learned that they were told... But what I tell you is this...»

same time the surviving tradition within them makes it clear that Jesus» influence upon the populace of Galilee resulted in «multitudes» following him about and hanging upon his words.

Gospel according to John and the epistles are
very close in style and content, and if both are not by the
same author, they are both from the
same general tradition of «Johannine» thought.
