top spot in the English
top flight, which already looks like
very much being a two horse race.
im
very happy for the two new addition to our Squad but to only make
top four if we keep Sanchez we still need two more quality players we can't be doing the same thing over on over again always short of two quality players the other
top teams are better than us already and they are making 3 to 4
top quality signings so where those that
leaves us on less we have some Magic spell or magic potion we still need two more quality players Riyad mahrez.
In the midfield, (including RWB & LWB) we have a whole bunch of tweeners... none offer the full package, none make sense in our manager's current favourite formation, except for Sead on the
left and Ox on the right, and all of them have never shown any consistency for more than a heartbeat... Sead, who I'm including in this category because of our present formation, looks like a positive addition, minus his occasional brain farts, but I would rather see what he could do in a back 4 before making my mind up... Ox, who has never played better, which isn't saying much considering his largely underwhelming play in previous seasons, seems to have found a home in this new formation; unfortunately, can we really expect this oft - injured player to handle the taxing duties that come with said position over the long haul, not to mention, it looks like he has no intention of staying... Ramsey has relied on the empathy that stems from his gruesome injury years ago and the excitement that was generated a few years back when he finally seemed to put in altogether, but on the whole he has been a big disappointment (neither he nor the Ox have scored enough to warrant a regular spot)... Wiltshire should be put on a weekly contract then played until he suffers his first injury, if and when that occurs he should be shipped - out and no one should
very be allowed to say his name on club grounds ever again... Elnehy & Coq are average players who couldn't make any of the
top 7 teams currently in the EPL... both have showed some great energy on the pitch, but neither are
top quality and no good team can afford to have that many average players on their bench playing the same position, especially with Coq's injury history / discipline concerns and Elheny's headless chicken tendencies... as for Xhaka, his tenure here so far has been incredibly underwhelming... we know he has some skills to provide the long ball but his defensive work is piss poor and he gives the ball away too cheaply and far too often... finally, the enigma himself, Ozil, so much skill with his
left foot but his presence has been more frustrating than uplifting... in many respects his failure has been directly related to the failure of this club to provide him with the necessary players up front, minus Sanchez of course, and unless something drastic happens
very soon his legacy will be largely a negative one (much like Wenger's)
it goes without saying that AW must
leave and another coach to come he can stay close to the team as manager or head of board but it is clear that our team is in need for so many years of a defensive midfielder (William Carvalho) and a
left back (J Rodriguez) on
top of them if we buy Mbappe and this player from Celtic, Dembele i believe our team will be in
very good shape as we will have players to cover all spots in good order we can get rid of players such as elneny, gabriel, debuchy, jekinson, lucas, chamberlain, mertezaker, coq and get back jack wilshere who together with ramsey, xhaka, santi they can make a quite productive midfield together with Carvalho watching their backs if we sell ozil, sanchez we can move for 3 more players such as gueye, mahrez and gibson
Come on mate everyone knows our club has gone threw a transactional period that we will probably never see in our life time again football has changed since the billionaires have come in we had to make the changes no other manager could of kept us in the
top four while we had to change our whole structure I'm not saying wenger is perfect he does fustrate us all sometimes but were in safe hands and were going in the right direction not that I know a lot about the ffp but something is happening and every year we seem to becoming in a stronger position to what wenger is trying to achieve for our club we all know this is wenger last contract and even if he win the cl or the epl he won't sign another contract it just fustrates me that the way people act sometimes our time is coming even wen wenger
leaves we will still have hope that we can compete for honours lets just enjoy beign arsenal fans and what will be will be cause wen in a
very stable position and that is all the hope I need that our time will come in the future COYG
i think if we by any chance got griezmann that would be awesome, against bus parking teams like norwich we could play with a
top 2 with griezmann and giroud they can play
very well with eachother and griezmann could get on to girouds flicks and knockdowns and griezmann does play in a
top2 at atletico and against the most teams griezmann could play as a lone striker, but anyway i do nt think he will
leave atletico
The fact that Arsene Wenger handed the Premier League trophy to Man United by selling the league's
top striker to them,
left a
very bitter taste in our mouths.
The sad truth is that we are just a couple of players away from having a
very strong starting 11... Wenger's fixation with Walcott and mertesakher as starting players remains a mystery to me... neither have the quality of a
top team like arsenal... I am not a giroud hater but he is still too inconsistent and the big question is whether welbeck can push him in a way Walcott won't... Campbell has done well and has moved ahead of Walcott and, ox for sure but there is still a question about how much more he can improve... Elneny is certainly an upgrade over arteta and flamini whether he will make it I don't know just hope that he does but arguably wenger could have been more ambitious... That
leaves a
top quality striking option... There is no doubt that wenger deluded himself over the summer and that needs to be corrected ASAP... Draxler dybala aube and even griezman with a big enough big could have been prized in summer... january not a good time for this but it is not difficult to find better options than Walcott ox or Campbell... All a question of whether wenger wants to win EPL on his terms or wants to win this for the club
Shouldn't need him for Friday, don't get me wrong it be
very hard game against Leicester but reward Sunday's team that won cup I'd go cech in goal, 3 cbs has.be holding merts and Montreal
left win has be da bodybuilder sead kolisinc rev has be ox 2 cms has be elneny and xhaka and iwobi cam role while I'd go 2 up
top French connection Giroud and lacasette, hold welbeck for 70 min if we need goal or injection pace
Deny it all you want but since Fabregas
left Arsenal our frre flowing football has really declined. It feels like am the only one who thinks we lack real penetration and ideas in the final third of opponents. Also in 14/15 sesson I lost count of our misplaced passes and poor gameplay overall. We've been
very very poor in our passing game for some seasons now.For a game like this to work you need players whonhold the ball
very well and are possession efficient.Look at the Arsenal starting lineup and compare it to that of years back and you'll know what I mean.We have
very few possession efficient players which is causing this problem. We don't have many players who can actually hold the ball and play the ball. That's what differentiates us from the
top passing teams.
Well written, but I think it will fall on deaf ears, my fear is as follows, it will take a loss in money for the manager and board to change, this will only come if we finish out of the
top 4, but knowing the board they would still give home a season to try again, I feel
very sorry for Sanchez, he is total quality and deserves better, most of the other players look settled, turn up give70 % and get paid, no matter what level you play at you should come off the pitch thinking I gave everything, how many of our players could say that, they lack motivation, player for player we are as good if not better than athletico Madrid but they have a manger that gets 100 % out of every player, Klopp is the same, but why would they
leave their clubs to come here with a boar that cares about money not entertainment, Wenger was a lucky manager he inherited a
top defence now his luck has run out
@josh... And before you troll my comment... By saying we need a versatile defender, I mean one who could play L.B as gibbs n monreal can't go a season without an injury... Mert is aging, wenger haven't played chambers at C.B for a
very lon time even when he's slow and sometimes woeful at R.B, Kos is
Top class but he needs proper handling, debuchy have been getting frequently injured lately, Bellerin can't do it all alone, that
leaves us with gabriel who's only just arrived and is getting used to the league....
we have waited a long time for this club to truly step up, which is a difficult ask... to do so properly they will need to overextend themselves and get well outside the comfort zone they have become accustomed to... at the
very least they owe their fans, most of whom supported this franchise for at least the first 8 years of this 10 year plan, one real shot at the «promised» land... remember phase one was build and save, phase two was the fire sale of all our
top players, phase three was supposed to be our metamorphosis, when we were literally told how we could compete with any club in the world and phase four appears to be rinse and repeat, under the guise that we just can't seem to find any players that are better than our current lot (can you even imagine the state of world soccer if that were truly the case)... it's time for you Mr. Kroenke and Mr. Wenger to ask not what the fans can do for you, but what you two can do to make things right again for the fans... if you can't do this earnestly and honestly, simply move on before the only thing
left in the cupboard are bitter memories and what could have beans?
With all this in mind Koscielny is right to suggest that whilst «we are Arsenal» and no doubt we will pull the strings together to get the «
top four job» done, Arsenal have been
left behind by their rivals in the Premier League in terms of challenging at the
very top.
playing with g - rod up front is like sticking to fingers up to traditional arsenal play of fast movement one twos and pass and move football this is
very unlike wenger to make such a major shift away front his normal trends of style of play big man up front with no pace just isn't the wenger way really he needs to go back to the past really to answer the current problem i have noticed all the other
top 4 teams are more wenger they are (wengerites to coin a phrase) than wenger himself playing with a big srtong pacey team like we use to have they all copied wengers blueprint and
left him behind somewhere along the line and he altered his and its not been the same since do nt change a winning system of power and pace if it is was working for you mr wenger
City have relinquished their Premier League crown to Chelsea with
very little fight as this season, despite being joint -
top with the Blues at the turn of the year they are now 11 points behind the champions with two games
left.
If we get a real
top - central - striker and Perez does well at
left - wide - forward next season, I would be
very happy, but it's a big risk due to how little he's played this season.
