upbeat and animated if it is to be «culturally relevant»; that classical music in general is stodgy and fossilized; that religious words guarantee genuinely religious music as long as the music is likable; and that music can be treated simply as a «package» that contains the gospel
message instead of as an art that embodies and interprets the gospel
message by its structure and by the
very way it sounds.
