If all trim in a house is a stark white (decorators white, chosen to go with
very white kitchen cabinets; coordinates well with bluey - grey rooms), can we paint other rooms in green - grey or pinkey - gray colours?

I have a
VERY small
kitchen that had great dark
cabinets, and as soon as I changed to
white on one wall, the
kitchen expanded.
For those wanting as similar look, artist Susan Branch has a
very old home on Martha's Vineyard and she used Benjamin Moore Swiss Coffee on her
cabinets (a creamy
white that looks good with
white appliances) and Benjamin Moore Woodlawn Blue on her walls — you can see it on her site - just google Susan Branch

We actually have
very similar
kitchens...
white cabinets, bead board, wood floors and accents.
For the time being, I've removed the doors and am using it to store / display my 2 small dish collections which coordinate with a large painting I have in the
very little breakfast area and which will provide the color accents once I get the
kitchen cabinets repainted
white.
Your befores look
very much like my daughter's
kitchen and I know she is probably going to want to be painting her
cabinets white down the road.
It seems
very cottage - y to me, and I love the warmth it brings to a
kitchen with
white cabinets and stainless appliances.

white paint for
kitchen cabinets and it worked out
very well — I chose Chantilly Lace and I love it.
I have a cream
kitchen (not
white), with double stacked
cabinets to the ceiling, pale yellow walls and Juperana Gold counters and faux travertine (heated) floors... I live in a
very GRAY city (literally some of the least days of sunshine in the country)-- so for my mental health, I prefer a war, bright palette in my personal (historic, dark tudor) home... where there is tons of medium dark wainscoating throughout all the non-
kitchen spaces, with only a little painted woodwork.
A butler's pantry, with

I did some «budget - friendly» renovating of my
kitchen 2 yrs ago, stripping old wallpaper, putting in the subway tile backsplash, adding bright
white beadboard halfway up walls and on the existing
white cabinet ends, painting the rest of the walls soft
white (sometimes looks
very very pale yellow).
I have thought a lot about what my dream
kitchen &
cabinets would look like and I think I have finally decided I would be
very happy with mostly
white cabinets,
very light gray for the walls and some fabrics, and of course yellow where ever I can find a place for it.
Its just how I imagine my dream
kitchen,
very clean with lots of
white & subway tiles of course and the constrating lower
cabinets to stop it looking too clinical, well done!!

At the time of our
kitchen updating, we had replaced the
cabinet doors from those
white laminate doors with the oak wood trim at the
very bottom of them.
