kitchen However, I do have a question... we have begun painting / updating our 1970s
yellow / orange oak to white throughout the house and have selected a white / white.
We just painted our
kitchen / dining area a
very similar
yellow and want to add pops of
yellow throughout those areas and into our connected living room.
I was 22 when my mother handed me the first
kitchen appliance that was ever my
very own: her old Crock - Pot, a ceramic white oval that had long since
yellowed, with a delicate blue floral pattern, probably purchased around 1980.
Currently it has a
very yellowed and ugly builder grade countertop / sink combo, and I would love to give it a fresh new marble - look similar to your fabulous
kitchen counter makeover.
I have a cream
kitchen (not white), with double stacked cabinets to the ceiling, pale
yellow walls and Juperana Gold counters and faux travertine (heated) floors... I live in a
very GRAY city (literally some of the least days of sunshine in the country)-- so for my mental health, I prefer a war, bright palette in my personal (historic, dark tudor) home... where there is tons of medium dark wainscoating throughout all the non-
kitchen spaces, with only a little painted woodwork.
In a nutshell, the
kitchen walls were painted in a
very bright
yellow color and splashed by cooking oil (don't ask why!).
I did some «budget - friendly» renovating of my
kitchen 2 yrs ago, stripping old wallpaper, putting in the subway tile backsplash, adding bright white beadboard halfway up walls and on the existing white cabinet ends, painting the rest of the walls soft white (sometimes looks
very very pale
yellow).
I have thought a lot about what my dream
kitchen & cabinets would look like and I think I have finally decided I would be
very happy with mostly white cabinets,
very light gray for the walls and some fabrics, and of course
yellow where ever I can find a place for it.
