The
veterinary needs of dogs that come into
rescue vary, but as a minimum we see each dog is made current on its rabies vaccination as well as canine distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza and parvovirus (DHPPv) vaccinations.
More than 90 cats and dogs, many in urgent
need of veterinary attention, were
rescued from a White County, Ark., property after authorities discovered them living in filth and suffering from a lack
of basic care.

Rescue (RCR) is asking for financial help to pay for
veterinary care for two young cats in
need of medical treatments.
Transportation aides in our
rescue program transport dogs to and from
veterinary appointments, deliver dogs to foster care when foster families may
need help from time to time, and aides also remove dogs from potentially dangerous situations - abusive homes, scheduled euthanasia, severe neglect - and deliver them into the hands
of safety here in our
rescue program.
Also, it was hoped this historic legislation would give law enforcement and animal control the tools they
need to stop animal cruelty and avoid the burden large puppy and cat mills place on communities when they must be shut down, leaving large numbers
of animals in
need of veterinary care, sheltering, and placement. it is the state and local government that is forced to absorb the cost
of rescue, care and placement
of animals that must be seized from mills because
of abhorrent conditions and animal cruelty and neglect.
