The new installation will increase the number of works on

in stark contrast to the monumentally scaled works by Clyfford Still on

in time for the holiday season, the beautifully redesigned
space will display over 50 works of art, including many permanent collection objects that have not been on
view for over 10 years.

The Collection Teaching
Gallery, where this material is presented, is a newly established teaching and
viewing space in the Center for Curatorial Studies Bard Galleries created to foster diverse forms of engagement with a broader range of CCS Bard and Hessel Museum collection materials.
A figure, at once robotic and lifelike, is isolated
in a clean
gallery space, behind a forbidding block wall that restricts the
view to the outside world.
