Downstairs at Grey Gallery, Interior # 2 by Tom Wesselmann is an installation (an unheard term at the time) or a sculpture in relief, of an urban
kitchen, with a
working clock (set at the right time), a fluorescent light, a bottle of soda, an operating fan, and a window painted to have a
view of buildings outside.
Works on
view foregrounding Colescott's interest in politics and current affairs include «
Kitchen Assassination» (1971), a chaotic composition depicting the 1968 shooting of Robert F. Kennedy at the Ambassador Hotel, and its corresponding painting, «Assassin Down» (1968 - 70), illustrating the shooting of Lee Harvey Oswald.
Given the restraints, I think the
work on
view shows a wide range of innovation; there's just awesome awesome stuff in the space that I'd be happy to have in my shower,
kitchen, or living room.
Pendleton's

working space.
This unconventional
kitchen works perfectly from a functional point of
view.
I'm dreaming of a tree lined family neighborhood street and a new charming home with leaded glass doors that can open without scraping the floor, wide baseboard moldings, gables and front porches, reasonably sized rooms with sweeping
views of open space, pocket doors, restored vintage hardware, solid walls, wood and stone floors, large
kitchen with vintage details and modern conveniences,
working bathrooms with old fashioned charm, real wood window trim, iron gates, solid staircases and railings, beautiful windows that open and close without a hammer or screwdriver... old house details and exceptional quality, new house energy efficiency and condition.
We have it situated where you have yours proposed but we have it parallel to the stove NOT the sink as I wanted to,
view our love vying room fireplace and TV from the
kitchen when I was
working on my island.
You make us all feel like we are sharing a cup of coffee in your new
kitchen looking out at the
view:) I am not a blogger, but
work full time for a non-profit called the Academy of Science of St. Louis.
The two main reasons we felt moving the sink to that side of the
kitchen wouldn't
work were 1) we thought the window was too low for a counter (we've confirmed it isn't too low at all, it was just an optical illusion) 2) once we realized the window wasn't actually too low, we didn't like that in order to have a
view of the backyard, the sink would be squished to one side of the
kitchen and off center in the space.
How lucky you are to have your
kitchen overlook your backyard so you have a
view while
working in there.
You all know I've been
working on my
kitchen remodel (you can
view the progress on Instagram) and I am excited to say I'm finally in the accessorizing stage!
Since this Woodstock
Kitchen is in the home stretch, I thought I'd give a little behind the scenes
view of some of the
