But I must say this sweater somehow made it to my top five best
vintage buys over the past months and it is quite an accomplishment.

bought on the spur of the momemt (aka the hubs has permission to throw away when he goes on his binge cleaning sphere); ones that I LOVE and browse for recipe and photography inspiration every now and then (Mastering the Art of French Cooking, Sprinkle Bakes, Surprise Inside Cakes to name a few) and finally ones that I use
over and
over again and can not be caught without them EVER (Baking Chez Moi, BHG Bridal Cookbook, Test Kitchen and now Grandbaby Cakes — Modern Recipes,

I think the trick is to
buy something for evening when you do not really need it, I have a drawer full of great evening things, skirts, dresses, blouses hat I have collected
over the years, some are
vintage, others are this season....

The late 50s frock I'm wearing is pretty much the only true
vintage dress that I've

over a year, and is one of the very few that fit me at the moment -LCB- out of a very stuffed closet... I'm so sad I can't wear my
vintage... -RCB-.
Amanda: My best advice to women who are just starting to
buy vintage is: QUALITY
OVER QUANTITY.
Instead of poring
over the want - ads for another
vintage JDM hatch or classic, I decided to put my money where my mouth is and actually
buy the car I've recommended most: the Honda Fit.
And I love incorporating meaningful objects and things with history (even if it is someone else's history - I'll take
vintage or antique
over store -
bought any day!).
I used a fresh garland on my stairs and I ended up with a little left
over, I
bought some floral oasis from my local florist and created an arrangement using the left
over greens and some lillies in a
vintage silver punch bowl that I found in a thrift store a few years back.
