The US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has fined Bitfinex, the largest bitcoin exchange, for multiple
violations of trading rules revealed by the Commission during an investigation.

violation in effect serves as the CFTC's finding that it will not treat Bitcoin as a currency.
If in the normal course
of free market operations, World

rules, or IMF conditionalities, millions
of people are uprooted, impoverished, or unemployed, this is usually not seen as human rights
violations.
