Sleep disorders range from rare but fatal maladies, such as fatal familial insomnia — an
untreatable insomnia that leads to hallucinations and eventually to death, to «inadequate sleep hygiene», from which
virtually everyone suffers from time to time, Dement told a meeting sponsored by the American Medical Association in New York.
