Goes to the Birds with New Birds of Paradise Exhibit - Third Coast Review - February 2, 2018 Just as
Museum Week was kicking off in Chicago, the Notebaert was celebrating its 161st birthday and the opening of their newest special exhibit, Birds of Paradise — Amazing Avian Evolution, which includes an amazing live animal exhibit called The Bird House that features a rotating cast of local and exotic birds for
visitors to meet, learn about and interact with.
Atlantis is promised
to the Kennedy Space Center's
Visitors Center, while Discovery will
go to the Smithsonian's National Air and Space
Museum near Washington, D.C., and Endeavour will be placed at the California Science Center in Los Angeles.
Although many tourists will photograph it from Michigan Avenue,
visitors often don't know that you can
go inside
to explore the free
museum within.
The Central Square is surrounded with a number of interesting buildings such as the interesting and informative Archaeological
Museum as well as pavement cafes where
visitors can sit and watch the world
go by, while the waterfront is another
go area
to hang out.

The National Building
Museum in America's Washington D.C. has launched a one - of - a-kind installation for
visitors this month with an interactive architectural display that brings the quintessential summer experience of

Each room is its own installation, confronting the

Any attempt
to encourage the one - time
visitor to appreciate the permanent collection (something many
museums fail
to emphasize) and
to remind infrequent gallery -
goers that the experience of art can be an enjoyably relaxed and meditative one, not time - bound by staggered entry or a box
to tick on the social calendar, is
to be applauded.
Now that it has reopened — and last week was named a finalist in the Art Fund prize for
Museum of the Year 2014 — my guess is that as many
visitors will
go to see the permanent collection as they do for exhibitions.
This is where
museum goers will find a monographic gallery of works by Takashi Murakami, a nine - screen video piece by Icelandic artist Ragnar Kjartansson entitled The
Visitors that the Broads acquired in 2013, and a space off the lobby that Heyler has dedicated
to Yayoi Kusama's Infinity Mirrored Room — The Souls of Millions of Light Years Away.
