The previous generation of Sync supports more than 30 apps, although these are only usable through voice command.

In many cases it seems like it would make more sense for blind and visually impaired people to use Alexa'a voice command features with an Echo or Fire TV to use text - to - speech for Kindle books instead of dealing with a dongle and a Kindle, which only lasts about 6 hours for audio playback anyway — good for on the go but not so good at home.

And sometimes, amazingly enough, they're only one voice command away.

The voice command idea in general would likely go over well on future Kindle Tablets, but since the only mic we've seen in a Kindle has been the disabled one inside every Kindle 3 it might actually be a bit surprising.
