An Attempt is made here to highlight the urgent need for reimagining
global citizenship
education and
global citizens
in order to transcend the present anthropocentric development and reach out to all those unheard
voices, whose precarious lives are under the clutches of patriarchal nature of unsustainable development.
Global Education can contribute to the visioning process, but it can also play a role
in the critique and the creation of new forms where social movements, indigenous and community — non-formal learning approaches — are essential as they allow for values not central to formal learning and give
voice to the collective and marginalized.
