Take
some voltage readings with a multimeter.
I checked the O2
voltage readings with the MAF disconnected and bank 1 upstream was maxed out at 0.94 v, but bank 2 only reached 0.88 v. Does this mean it is bad?

For example, the irrigation contractor must be able to
read the landscape plan and the grading plan in order to efficiently design the sprinkler system; the low -
voltage outdoor lighting specialist must understand the electrical plans in order to design a lighting plan that reduces
voltage drop and does not conflict
with the full -
voltage lights specified for the home.
If you would like to

A couple of things in this case make a difference: only a multimeter
with high impedance (to get the
voltage I saw you'd need 100k — 1M in the circuit; that's more like a broken wire closed by dirty water); multiple earths showed the same
reading, including those which also serve working circuits.
Repeat this test
with the engine running, now a
voltage reading of about 14.0 is for a healthy alternator that is providing a full - charge.
Go back and redo your
voltage test (still
with the engine on), a
voltage reading of 13.0 or higher indicates your alternator is still supplying a full charge while under heavy load.
I was
reading online that sealed - lead - acid batteries should be «maintained» either monthly or a few times per year
with an «equalizing charge», which I
read was specifically over-charging the battery to bring the cells up to the same
voltage.
I was messing around
with electrical loads on my 98 Mazda 626 GF 2L today and noticed that the
voltage I was
reading at the battery
with my multimeter, didn't match the
voltage the ECU was report via my scan tool.
A battery
with surface charge has a slightly elevated
voltage and gives a false
voltage - based SoC
reading.
And If you're measuring
voltage with a resistor (glow plug) in line, your
reading could be a little lower than expected, so depends on exactly how your taking the measurement.
If the
voltage signal
reading of the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor sends a
voltage signal to the PCM that does not coincide
with the
voltage signal that is sent from the MAF sensor, the P2281 diagnostic trouble code will be stored and the check engine light will come on.
Every time we meet
with the guys from High
Voltage, the wonderful people bringing us The Conduit, they're constantly telling us that they love
reading about what we think of their games so they can dive back in and make changes.
Maintenance Engineer's who are electrically biased from ANY engineering background who has experience
with low
voltage (12 - 240 volts) and
reading European and British wiring diagrams.
