I would much prefer a tactile
volume knob so I could easily turn the volume way up or down quickly, and presets that were indents on the screen I could feel.
The guitar incorporates ES2 electronics for amplification and features tone and
volume knobs so you can adjust the sound on the fly.

About the only action with the stereo that can be safely done while driving is adjusting the
volume, and that's because it uses a
knob (gee, isn't that
so old - fashioned?)
Ergonomics are also top - rate; the leather pad above the Comand dial on the center console supports the wrist oh -
so - nicely, and buttons for other features (i.e.
volume, seating positions, navigation, etc) are logically placed a finger's length away from the
knob.
Knobs and buttons on the center stack for climate control and audio functions intelligently support the touchscreen display,
so I have no trouble changing
volume or climate controls while keeping my eyes on the winding roads and misty skyline ahead.
So would a traditional head unit with
volume knobs and preset buttons.
The
volume control rocker is located low on the wheel's face and
so close to the center that, from my neutral 3 - 9 driving position, it was frankly easier to reach for the
volume knob on the stereo's face.
The top priority remains ease of use,
so the various audio interfaces employ tried - and - true
knobs for
volume and tuning, while the LE - and - up automatic climate control system (a welcome luxury in this price bracket) provides a large
knob and a few foolproof buttons.
Besides, there's a nice big
volume knob and
knobs for temp and fan speed,
so that makes up for it some.
So with the fifth - generation 2017 CR - V, Honda has added a
volume knob in the lower left of the center stack segment containing the 7 - inch LCD.
