On the Mac, only software - based volume controls — such as
the volume slider in Spotify or iTunes — can tweak the sound output of the Q Adapt earphones.
The default
volume slider in the app looks similar to what you find in the Android P developer preview.

the volume slider in the status bar and it is build using Hashcode's latest kernel.

The speakers are definitely there on the back near the sliding mechanism and their
volume is quite low for my ears, especially when using the
Slider in tablet mode.
Hopefully this means no broken screens,
sliders, etc when having to quickly adjust the
volume when
in a car, on a train, on a plane, or just simply
in some form of transit.
You're able to adjust on the fly, but I found the
volume slider to not be very precise, as I wished it was a dial setting with more «markers» for specific
volume levels since it either sounded too low or loud without much room
in between to find that perfect setting.
In addition to the main console, the original model of the Shield's handy remote accessory also received a minor new feature with the latest system update, allowing for quick play / pause functionality when the
volume slider is double - tapped.
I could use the built -

slider on the side of the handset, allowing you to easily switch between silent, do not disturb and loud modes.

We can't imagine you'll want to hold your phone every time you watch a video or listen to music though, so Sony has included an additional

The front of the device retains the black finish, as does the
volume and power buttons, and the alert
slider stands
in stark contrast to the white and black with a red accent.
The
volume rocker is bright red, the sleep / wake key is blue, and the notification
slider is

And, by default, a
volume slider sits below the brightness controls
in the notification shade, but it can be turned off quite easily.
The OnePlus 2 features a
volume rocker and lock button on one side and an Alert
Slider which functions similarly to the iPhone's mute switch on the other side and allows you to switch between various alert modes
in Android.
The fingerprint scanner is embedded
in the home button and positioned below the screen, the
volume rocker and the textured alert
slider are on the left side, while the power button and SIM card slot are on the right.
However,
in the upcoming Android P, the
volume slider jumps from the top of the screen to the middle and goes vertical instead of horizontal.
There are also options for adding
in your own watermark to each picture, toggling geotagging, toggling the zoom
slider to be always on, always off or automatically appear when needed, and options for resolution and what the
volume key does.

volume slider has also been moved to the side, again
in vertical position.
All of the buttons and ports are
in the standard places — power,
volume and SIM slot on the right, the Alert
Slider on the left, headphone on the top and micro USB (yes, not USB - C) on the bottom.
Nor, indeed, are there any EQ or manual tuning controls: you can adjust the
volume up or down, yes, but there's not so much as a treble / bass
slider in the settings.

in the form of a bright red Alert
Slider along with a black power button and

There's now a little drop down arrow on the right side of this panel when adjusting the
volume that gives you all these
sliders and makes it easy to adjust everything without having to be
in a specific app to do so.
