Turner, one of three Republicans who will face off in the June 26 primary for the right to run on Row B against Democratic Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand this fall, is making his first return upstate since last month's GOP convention in Rochester when he, attorney Wendy Long and Nassau County Comptroller George Maragos were
all voted onto the ballot.

(The rumor was being pushed by the Turner camp, and would be very helpful to the congressman's quest to get 25 percent of the weighted convention
vote to get
onto the
ballot as it would free up two
vote - heavy counties now backing Maragos: Nassau and Suffolk).
Teachout, as you'll recall, failed to receive sufficient support at the WFP's May 31 convention to get
onto the
ballot, but she did get 41.3 percent of the weighted convention
vote to Cuomo's 58.7 percent.
Also, I recall in 2006 that Nassau County GOP Chairman Joe Mondello ended up splitting his weighted
vote in half to ensure both John Faso and former Massachusetts Gov. Bill Weld would get
onto the primary
ballot.
Carvin so far has just one county endorsement — Westchester — which doesn't bring him anywhere close to the 25 percent weighted convention
vote necessary to get
onto the
ballot.
They need just 25 percent of the weighted

Krogh was credited for whipping

The Wilson Pakula threshold for anyone not enrolled in the party who wants to run on the line, as you'll recall, is just over 50 percent of the weighted convention
vote — more than twice the 25 percent necessary for party members to get
onto the
ballot.
Blakeman announced several weeks ago that he has securred more than 25 percent of the weighted convention
vote necessary to get
onto the
ballot.
One delegate who told me she supports Sen. Eric Schneiderman, (who was expected to get
onto the
ballot if the party went the one -
vote route), was downright furious over Jacobs» flip - flopping on the AG
vote.
If the WP
vote is held first, it will be what one strategist decribed as a «test
vote» for Levy — and his biggest champion, state GOP Chairman Ed Cox — both of whom have confidently predicted the party - switching county executive will receive sufficient support at the convention to get
onto the
ballot.
Asked during the lightning round whether they would be willing to
vote for Carl Paladino over Rick Lazio in the Sept. 14 GOP gubernatorial primary, Gary Berntsen punted, saying repeatedly that he will be
voting for whoever wins and gets
onto the November
ballot.
State Democratic Party Chairman Jay Jacobs confirmed there have been discussions about letting all five AG contenders
onto the
ballot at the convention — even as Nassau County DA Kathleen Rice is poised to nab 30 percent of the weighted
vote.
Erie County Conservative Chairman Ralph Lorigo (pictured) also got
onto the
ballot after receiving about 36 percent of the
vote.
He's also the only contender to claim he has landed more than 25 percent of the weighted convention
vote necessary to get
onto the
ballot, and today he announced the support of Rockland County GOP Chairman Vinnie Reda.
Both she and Cuomo received sufficient amounts of the weighted convention
vote to get

Johanna Baxter hit out after the NEC
voted by 18 - 14 in favour of putting Mr Corbyn straight
onto the
ballot paper for Labour's forthcoming leadership election.
At the state convention in 1994, Murray was on the stage, helping the Pataki forces shut down any would - be challengers from attain the 25 percent of delegate
votes needed to get
onto the
ballot automatically.
That's a claim with which I'm sure Lazio's supporters would quibble — particularly if the party indeed is moving forward with a
vote that appears structured to benefit Levy, who needs just over twice the 25 percent weighted convention
vote Lazio requires to get
onto the
ballot.
State GOP delegates
voted to place both David Malpass — former chief economist for Bear Stearns, president of an economic research firm, veteran of Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush administrations — and Bruce Blakeman — lawyer, ex-husband of Paul McCartney's current girlfriend, owner of terrifying talking dog —
onto the
ballot in the race against Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, forcing the two into a primary.
Even though he failed to make it
onto the GOP
ballot, Levy has said he plans to remain a Republican, possibly complicating his 2011 re-election bid (although he did run on the GOP line last year, along with the Conservative, Indy, Democratic and WFP lines, and received 96.09 percent of the
vote).
Twelve (12)
votes will be needed for the over-ride to get the Legislature's version of the Charter
onto the
ballot in November 2014.
Of note, LittleBigPlanet 2 was the only title with multiple add - ons earning
votes as Rise of the Cakeling and Toy Story both found their way
onto ballots.
One final note about the above in Kansas is the timing: the Senate approved bills would have put the
vote on these items
onto the August 2014 primary
ballot and not the November 2014 general election
ballot.
