Yeshua, (ישוע, with
vowel pointing יֵשׁוּעַ yēšūă «in Hebrew)[1] was a common alternative form of the name Joshua «Yehoshuah» יְהוֹשֻׁעַ in later books of the Hebrew Bible and among Jews of the Second Temple Period.
