Lately, I've been into the look of fitted sweaters tucked under high
waisted skirts so I just had to try it with this super cute Geo Jacquard Skirt.
Not exact matches
I sewed the
skirt and
skirt lining together at the
waist so that the bodice lining wasn't weighed down by the
skirt lining.
At this stage, she was looking more like a gown for a 7ft tall woman who appreciated a paper - bag
waist,
so next step was to attach the
skirt to the bodice, them the dress, and get on with finishing touches.
Lucky for me, this bad boy has a high
waisted skirt and fans out over the bump,
so people could barely notice the bump, and somehow I think I actually managed to make that slight skim of midriff stay classy, even with a baby growing inside me.
Then, I hand - sewed the
waist stay to the seam allowance of the
skirt and folded over each end and hand - stitched in two hook - and - eyes
so I could secure it to my
waist when worn.
The
skirt has tonnes of stretch
so I can wear it on my
waist & still walk comfortably which I think gives a better silhouette.
Another Rihanna special: slouchy beanie, crop top, high -
waisted pencil leather
skirt, high - top sneaks with vibrant red lipstick was
so crazy cool!
I also used a simple white crop top underneath (like this one)... if you don't already own a crop top like this one, I highly recommend it for
skirts with a high
waist so you don't get bunching underneath like when you tuck a shirt in
And because it's a-line, the volume makes your
waist look even smaller by comparison,
so really this
skirt is a weight - loss program all by itself.
There was a lot to see and admire at the next stage of the show when the catwalk was taken over by storm with black pleated
skirts and high collared white jackets, patterned dress jackets with notched necklines, two piece suits consisting of straight pants and V - neck jackets (not the interesting effect the side buttons make), high
waisted white maxi
skirts with lacy tops, high collared loose dresses and
so on.
I'm definitely on the short side (5» 1 ″)
so it falls lower on me than it does on the model and works well with high -
waisted denim (though I'm going to try it with a
skirt come spring).
Definitely satisfied However, the
waist size of the
skirt is a little larger
so I recommend to go for a smaller size
I have matched a denim high
waist skirt with a red and white striped blouse from Romwe that I find
so versatile and yet
so essential in any fashionista's closet.
The golden rule is choosing the right elements that don't split your
waist line,
so match high
waisted skirts or pants and a cropped blouse.

waist sits up a bit higher
so I usually only reserve petite sizing for petite maxi dresses and

I wish I could have given an extra half star... I am 5» 6», 135 lbs, with a 25» / 26»

waist, but I still wonder if the xxs would have been too small, and it was a little long, even in heels, but it was still totally wearable right out of the package... I had been eying this

The Dixiefried Vintage Bustier top by Pinup Girl Clothing isn't a new piece, but it's recently undergone a design alteration
so that it fits slightly longer than the previous cropped version, making it easier to tuck into your high -
waisted retro bottoms, whether that be shorts,
skirts or pants.
This chocolate - hued beauty
so full of details you almost can't take them in all at once: The drop
waist, polka dot gingham print, illusion neckline and full, twirly
skirt.
I think I would have liked it better if my
skirt was a couple of inches shorter (I think I have an abnormally long
waist - to - knee length
so even though this
skirt hits just below mid-thigh, it feels really long).
It's a loose non structured

Most of the girls love to wear the
skirts which are more fitted to the body from the
waist or the hips but there are
so many who love to wear the short and lose fitting
skirts with pleats or set of panels.
It's a cropped sweater
so you can pair it with high -
waisted jeans or a

A little too cropped for me,
So it can only be worn with high -
waisted skirts and pants.
The key of wearing a high
waisted skirt is to tuck in your top,
so that your legs will look longer than they are.
