Just because you have high - waisted jeans doesn't mean you need to show off the high waist until you are ready (read: have lost the jelly - belly).

I've always been a big fan of high
waisted jeans because you don't have to worry about getting a muffin top or showing off your underwear everytime you bend over.
I wear it with high
waist jeans but if you didn't have a long torso you wouldn't need to.
I would love a pair of
jeans that didn't gap in the
waist and that fit me in the thighs.

does NOT stretch out throughout the day.
I've had THE worst time finding repro
jeans that feature both the fit I'm looking for (high
waist, slimmer leg) AND sizing that work with my slightly thicker
waist: I too am short at 5» 3 ″, and while I'm busty and hippy, I
do not have the golden 10 ″
waist / hip differential that most of the 50's repro brands are
doing... I think after reading through all of your
jeans and pants posts I'm convinced the answer is to tackle sewing my own!
Don't get me wrong, I love high
waisted jeans!

But I'm wearing a simple pair of black high
waist jeans, a white crop top and oversized faux leather vest and a pair of pretty bad ass (if I
do say so myself) heels from Shoedazzle.
The key is to find a pair of
jeans with a good stretch but
does not dig at your
waist, looks good with flats and heels, and has a smoothing overall effect.

I totally wish I could pull off high -

On the one hand, when
done right, they're just like skinny
jeans only more comfortable (hooray for elastic
waist bands!).
While it
does run a little short, it is perfect with a pair of high
waisted jeans or a pencil skirt.
I've
done it before and wore high
waisted jeans and a cami underneath and it wasn't inappropriate at all!
These
jeans don't have a gap in the
waist which is soo important to us curvy women!
Don't worry, if you have a short torso, you can still rock, high
waisted jeans!
The material stretches... That review just
does not make any sort of sense at all to me... Anyway, I have worn this with the Shrubbery Skirt from Anthropologie (Bailey44), but also with high
waisted jeans.
I bought this top recently and it tucks into high
waisted pieces like my skirt nicely, and it's also long enough that I can tie it and wear it that way with
jeans or shorts (it doesn't look like a crop top).
I always thought that high -

do is to tie a cool top or sweatshirt around my
waist for a casual look.
The
jeans of «7 for all mankind»
do the same, but the ones I have are too low in the
waist.
Pair it with high
waisted jeans, boots and layer on the accessories like I
did below, or dress it down with a t - shirt dress, sneakers and a baseball cap.
Tip: most of the time
jean jackets look best unbuttoned so if you find that you have to choose between sizing up so it buttons or buying a more fitted size that doesn't fully close I say go with the smaller size as it will accentuate the
waist a lot better.
The
waist was always a bit to high and gaped, the butt didn't fit nearly as well as
jeans do now (thanks to the Sevens revolution)... but I may be showing my bias.
I didn't used to be into high
waist jeans but now I'm loving them.
Well, I'm taking the challenge and WILL
do all that is necessary to find the right
jean for my fabulous mommy bod — come hem or high
waist!

waisted skirts,
jeans, and shorts for just the right amount of skin revealed.
With all the weight lifting I've been
doing most of my
jeans fit great in the thighs but are too big in the
waist.
They are both high
waisted, which I prefer in my
jeans because they hold «stuff» together a little better and I don't have to keep pulling them up when I am sitting on the grass at the park or on the floor at baby music class.

Personally I'm not a fan of handkerchief hems like this one, but I
did try on and fall in love with the Utility Moto Jacket (now $ 80) which has a very cool button top layer and the Sherpa Moto Jacket (now $ 90) which is too short for everyday wear for me but
does look great with high -
waisted jeans and a striped shirt underneath.
I chose a high
waisted jean because I didn't want the top of the
jean to catch the pretty peplum hem of the shirt.
My bottoms are high
waisted white skinny
jeans, I really don't like how low rise pants feel so when I found high
waisted skinnies it was life changing to say the least (ok, I exaggerate a bit).
