I composed lines
of this post in my head as I went to bed last night, which was clearly productive (sarcasm) as I remember none
of them and is most definitely a bad way to lull yourself to sleep
because I
woke from a
stress nightmare at 4 am in which I was under deadline to read two novels and write three 15 - page papers by today, all while attending a full day
of classes.
They appear not to
wake up as much next to their mothers but actually in terms
of small arousals and even larger ones they
wake up more, but they do not necessarily alert the mother
because they sense their own safety (or whatever emotion or physical sense that reduces
stress or anxiety) which comes with smelling her milk and feeling her body, hearing her breadth and feeling her movements and rhythms.
If you find yourself unable to relax in bed
because you're overthinking about the number
of things that you have to do when you
wake up, getting a head start on this can help to calm your
stress and get you into a state
of relaxation.
Anyone else's opinions have very little value (read: none) in this scenario, so don't
stress on the expectations
of others; they're not the ones
waking you up at 3 AM
because they're hungry.
I always recommend somewhere between 20 - 30 grams
of protein in the morning for people with depression and anxiety as well as digestive issues, hormonal imbalances, anything like fatigue or chronic
stress because when we
wake up in the morning we've been fasting for at least 8 hours.
Meditation boosts melatonin, a naturally occurring compound so often reduced
because of stress, it comes as no surprise that people are able to sleep more soundly,
waking up feeling refreshed each morning, with all day lasting energy.
Because 1) Hypocretins simultaneously stimulate appetite and wakefulness, particularly through orexigenic output
of the melanocortin system, and subsequent release
of CRH, which activates the
stress response, and 2) while Hypocretin Neurons
wake us up, they also need to be quiet enough for people to go to sleep.
And
because every part
of your body is balanced properly and getting the nutrients it desperately needs, you'll... feel less
stress, sleep better at night and
wake up FRESH AND READY!
