Gili Air
wall the West side of Gili Air is a fantastic
dive, a massive
wall where the top of it is 12 meters and it drops down to 27.
As your group cruises along looking for Nudibranches, someone's exhaled bubbles inevitably knock a few off the
wall above, making it quite apparent
where this popular
dive site got it's playful name...
Visit sites like Hin Daeng and Hin Muang
dive sites
where you can see the fantastic marine life on a steep
wall and vibrant violet corals.
If you have more time, you can add some additional underwater adventures such as a visit to the
walls on the ocean side of the reef, an exploration of coral caverns, or a stop at a
dive site
where freshwater springs bubble up from the reef, attracting Napoleon wrasse and sea turtles.

dive the Sharms, Marsas and reef
walls along the coastline
where easy access to the reef makes this area ideal for shore based diving.
I have to admit this is one of my favorite
dives, perhaps because of the cave entrances on to the
wall or the abundant sea life, on a calm day this is
where you'll find me.
Here there are dramatic limestone
walls decorated with healthy soft corals, gorgonians branching out from the many colourful
walls, and
dives ending in shallow coral gardens
where all manner of marine life frolic among the soft corals and sponges.
Much of this
dive site is a
wall dive although there is a 20m deep ledge
where white tip reef sharks rest on the rubble bottom allowing divers to get very close for photos.
A nice
dive where the current will do the work and you just watch while you drift along the
wall.

In the afternoon we will head to North Hastings Reef

dive the steep
walls, keep an eye out for giants clams, turtles, Maori wrasse and finding Nemo!
Our first
dive was in Gorgonias Passage, site formed by a
wall full of Sea Fans
where we specially go for find Pygmy Sea Horses In our search we found it Denise, Raja Ampat and Bargibanti Pygmy Sea Horses... not bad at all!
It is also a great
dive site
where you
dive around 4 pinnacles maybe only 100 m. / 300 ft. in diameters with
walls dropping to 60 - 70 m. / 180 - 210 ft.. We had no current and nice visibility reaching 25m.
Our boat continued five minutes off the island
where we
dove on some on pristine coral
walls and formations.
Closer to the pearl farm we did our third
dive, in Channel Island, a shallow plateau that descends into a
wall where the soft coral, especially in shallow waters, is impressive and colorful, especially in pink tonalities.
