If you take down the mirrored doors, you may need a large
wall mirror elsewhere to bounce the light around, especially with a dark color on the walls.

I have a silly narrow angled
wall in the guest bath with custom built vanity where the
mirrored medicine cabinet sits — can't way to ditch it but in the meantime covered the
mirror and found a lovely bling - y chrome 3 - shelf freestanding caddy to sit there — can use it
elsewhere later.
The space from molding to molding on the
wall is 32 ″ and originally I bought a 28 ″ D round
mirror for that space, as I really like the idea of a
mirror in the entry, but due to the aforementioned light switch, the
mirror found a home
