Not exact matches
I want to use the
wall space that I have,
so I will probably do some
wall shelves.
I purchased a narrow frame
shelf on Amazon with the intention of propping them up against the
wall but I (horribly) misjudged the length of the name and size of the
shelf and
so that was nixed.
Vibrational + Provides

I have some dead space between where our pantry ends and the
wall (there's a sliding door

I like in number 3 that the
shelf at the bottom still has
walls around the 3 sides
so what's on the
shelf isn't seem from every angle if that makes any sense.

so pretty or not used as often.
We have ours displayed in the kitchen on those thin Riba
shelves from Ikea, against a white
wall, and the entire collection (which I'm not showing you here, on account of lack of time) is just
so much fun.
Two of my favorite design details besides that glossy finish: the doors close quietly thanks to the integrated soft - close function and there's an opening behind the center
shelves so you can plug your cable box, etc. into the
wall behind it without seeing a single wire.
The toilet is in a little cove of it's own
so shelves are from one
wall to another.

Cats have a natural desire to be up above the action,
so consider adding a few
shelves to an empty
wall so that your cat can climb up and be above everyone else.
If your urban home is too small for cat trees, another option is to install carpeted
shelving on the
walls at various heights
so your cat can use these to explore.
Barn cats are generally adept at climbing
walls to get to such spaces, but of you don't have a stairway, it is helpful to build a ramp or
shelves between the ground and the loft
so the cats can easily reach it.
If you feel your cat is missing out, provide him with a good cat condo, if you lack the space you can always buy cheap Ikea
shelves, glue on pieces of carpet that you can get as scrap at carpet places, and put them on the
wall so your cat can climb up on the
wall.

I've made a dent in my gallery
wall, using a white
shelf, and frames painted white, and it's looking
so pretty against my green Crocodile Tears!
Floating
shelves are painted the same colour as the
walls,
so they seem to recede and create a spacious feel, which works perfectly with the bold graphic - print rug and shots of hot pink.

Keeping them all out on the counter was starting to feel cluttered and took up too much valuable counter space,
so wall shelf was the perfect solution!
So recently, my husband put a whole
wall of
shelves up in our (thankfully dry) basement.
I'm not a fussy decorator,
so simple clean dishes are beautiful to me whether they are on my
wall, on my baker's rack or on stacked on my open
shelves.
I didn't even think about a thin table there but that would look
so cute and I like the idea of a gallery

I found this location to be a little bit dustier than
shelves up on a
wall,
so my preference for ease of cleaning and styling of
shelves in this location is to use them for pretty cookbooks, baskets, or even pots and pans I don't mind rinsing off before use.
That lighting fixture is lovely, the
walls and of course your
shelving unit are all
so nice.
The Flow
Wall shelves are coated
so they make an excellent drying rack for rags waiting to be laundered.
On the
walls, I'd love to use open
shelving instead of cabinets (as seen here on Young House Love and Dana's kitchen)
so the kitchen doesn't feel too closed in.
So Adam and I designed the sink
wall in the new house to have a big window with a view and
shelving on either side.
I wanted open
shelving in the center to keep the
wall open and airy, and
so we used those same corbels we had cut for our pantry to create a whimsical open
shelving space.
Seriously, it makes me want to take the
walls off my pantry just
so I can build some of those
shelves, which are awesome by the way.

It has wonderful painted wood

so I am going to add sparkle with chandeliers and mirrors, and open
shelving for sweaters & shoes, rods for clothes....
This almost invisible
wall shelf is the perfect solution — it's
so slimline that you could squeeze it in pretty much anywhere.
We put
shelves inside our cabinets, painted the
walls (Gray Owl lightened by 50 %) and replaced the existing pendants lights (thanks to Barnlight Electric) last year, but that's about all the personalizing we've done

We needed this
wall to feel more balanced,
so we reconfigured the
shelving in the built - in
so that the television was on center.
-- one whole
wall would be
shelving (fabric etc. storage) and that
shelving would have sliding doors with mounted foam boards (covered in white felt or flannel),
so they would double as design
walls — BIG center table for cutting and larger ironing surface on one side (smart storage underneath it all)- sewing machine cabinet next to it and small ironing place right next to it — enough space for the long - arm (or mid-arm) quilting machine - big desk in one corner — for drawing, sketching, computer work (preferably next to the window with that great view — big inspiration board on one
wall — to pin all kinds of stuff!
