If you
want workouts that burn fat, you need to focus on
high intensity exercise.
If you
want to ignite your metabolism to burn off unwanted weight, then you must include
high intensity strength training in your fat loss
workouts right from the get go.
If you don't have a physically active job or aren't able to spend lots of time on your feet during the day, this
intensity is important for training the body to use fat as a fuel, especially for individuals who compete in events lasting more than two hours.Although it will be difficult to keep your
intensity low on these days, if you've decided that you have lots of time on your hands and the type of training you
want to do is primarily aerobic (vs. interval based training), then performing your endurance efforts at a
higher intensity than Zone 2 will reduce the effectiveness of your harder
workouts on subsequent days by fatiguing muscle and depleting carbohydrate stores in fast - twitch muscle.
So maybe you're not convinced you could break away for some exercise at lunch and you
want to get your
high intensity workout elsewhere.
However, if you
want results and are up for the challenge, increasing the
intensity of your
workouts by using heavier weights, shorter rest intervals or
high -
intensity cardio intervals may be worth the effort.
However, if you're really
want to get serious and if you are up for it maybe include some
higher intensity workouts like HITT and don't be afraid to lift some weights even small ones!
If you do a
high intensity workout, 72 hours may be best if you
want to build muscle!
But if your already fit enough and
want to shed off a couple of pounds then your better off
high intensity strength training
workouts.
If you
want to push yourself a little harder, combine the lighter resistance
workouts with some runs and you can even throw in a few
high intensity style exercises that don't bulk.
And in my proven
workout plan I'll be blending the very best in cardio, HIIT (
High Intensity Interval Training) and weight training to ensure you get the results you
want.
High -
intensity interval training (HIIT) is another great option, especially if you're short on time or don't
want to spend an hour in the gym for every
workout.
High intensity body weight interval training is great for those days when you just don't have enough time to squeeze in a
workout, but still
want to keep your fitness goals on track.

want to focus on, or even your whole body and then do interval training.
