The trick is to not overwork the dough,
you want little bits of butter distributed throughout the dough, that's what will give it a flaky texture.

wanted to make them again today and just found out that I was out
of peanut
butter, so I felt a
little bit experimental and used smooth Speculoos (450gr)
of it.
Honestly, a
little bit (or a lot if you prefer)
of butter will do these rolls enough justice that you will
want to make them time and time again.
I originally came up with this easy paleo brownie recipe because I
wanted a quick brownie recipe using ingredients I had in the pantry — a
little bit of almond
butter and some cacao powder.

bites are just perfect as «on - the - go» snack, they are great to keep a stash on hand for those times when you simply need a quick,
little burst
of energy, but don't
want to eat a junk - food snack or don't really
want a meal.
Depending on the type
of chocolate you use (particularly with dairy free chocolate), you may need to add a
little bit of dairy free margarine (or
butter) to the melted chips — you
want the chocolate to flow easily when warmed to about 89 degrees, but still able to set when at room temperature.
I made a few changes: I used all plain flour (that's all I had), sheep's milk yogurt (I bought it to try and it's weird / gross so I made these to use it up), a
little bit of coconut oil in replace
of about a quarter
of the
butter because I didn't
want to open a new packet
of butter (I'm just lazy:P), and I used 4 small apples instead
of 2 big (gasp!).
But then if they
want, you know,
butter coffee, uhm — Collagen peptides, uh —
little bit of MCT Oil, and, you know, one scoop
of Collagen peptides, and then do that in your coffee.
If you ever
want to speed up the process some, you could add a
little bit of melted coconut oil (and I do mean a
little bit, as in one or two tablespoons) but the resulting
butter won't be as thick and creamy.
Be aware
of the amount
of butter in the people foods that you share with your dog, and if you
want to give them a
little bit of baked potato or grilled corn, leave their portion unbuttered.
