I don't
want to feel swindled by
small bookstores with too many authors to manage.
My book review operation was a success from the very beginning in terms of attracting publishers
wanting to submit books for review and being able to pay any overhead expenses using review copies as a source of income by selling them to local
bookstores and community libraries in Madison, Wisconsin and other surrounding
small communities hereabouts.
Though many
bookstores have
small indie sections or may
want to carry more indie titles, it is not always such an easy thing to do.
Similarly, if your book is published and lands in a
bookstore, you don't
want to turn away prospective readers with a bizarrely
small or large book spine.
Do you
want your book to be available online through Amazon and Barnes & Noble, or in
smaller bookstores?
