Can't decide if
you want sweet muffins, biscuits or scones for breakfast?
I did not add any sugar coz the pineapple and banana were sweet enough but you can add some if
you want a sweeter muffin!

I've made savoury
muffins but,
want to experiment with
sweet.
If you like your
muffins sweet, you'll probably
want a little more sugar or syrup, but this was just perfect for me.
They're
sweet, moist, and flavorful, and the fact that they're mini
muffins makes you
want to pop them like candy.
I
wanted to keep the recipe healthy, so these
muffins are not very
sweet (they are cake - like only in texture!).

So many of the recipes look amazing, but the recipes I really
want to try first are southwestern chicken egg rolls, hush puppy potato knishes, quionoa «hummus», charoset salad, goat cheese salad with raspberry vinaigrette, flanken butternut squash soup, meat and cabbage soup, pistachio crusted salmon, braised chicken with apples and
sweet potatoes, citrus glazed duck breast, cranberry glazed turkey and spinach meatloaf, maple glazed rack of ribs, veal roast with mushroom sauce, pastrami meatballs, almond butter banana pancakes, cheesy hash browns, apple kugel
muffins, blueberry cobbler, and fudgy chocolate bundt cake with coffee glaze.
These oat - based blender
muffins have a slightly bumpy texture (as the blender won't break up the grain completely) and are a bit less
sweet than the average breakfast pastry — come on, if I
wanted a piece of chocolate cake, I'd just make that.
These
muffins are
sweet but yet guilt free, who wouldn't
want that?
Note 1: How much sugar you use depends solely on how
sweet you
want your
muffins to be.
This unattractive, soft, but very
sweet fruit that nobody
wants to eat are an excellent basis for smoothies, banana bread or
muffins.
They kind of tasted like corn bread, not like a
sweet breakfast
muffin like I
wanted.
I changed the non-dairy milk to coconut milk (which doesn't curdle well but it still works, I had to use a non-nut milk because the
muffins were going to a nut free environment), I doubled the recipe, and I used agave instead of sugar (trying to reduce our sugar intake and
wanted a less
sweet muffin).
These are everything you
want in a blueberry
muffin: fluffy and moist, with a
sweet, crunchy topping.
Go for one of these bread or
muffin recipes when you're craving something
sweet but
want to pretend like you're eating something a little less sinful.
I fill that in with a couple snacks like home made pumpkin protein
muffins or an easy to make trail mix, a couple staple sides I would
want on hand daily like a big mixed greens salad and some rice, quinoa or pre-made easy to grab
sweet potato chunks - and make my list and pick my recipes around that.
While you don't
want a sickeningly
sweet muffin you do
want just enough sweetness to bring all the flavors together, instead of leaving it bland.
These
muffins aren't super
sweet, so if you
want them
sweeter, swap out the dark chocolate chips for semi-
sweet chocolate chips and increase the maple syrup or honey to 1 cup.
