The headline of this post is the name for a book (and perhaps documentary) I've
wanted to create for years, given my decade - long fascination with camera traps, which have become a valuable tool in
conservation biology (check this Google Scholar search for research using camera traps).
One thing I was told in no uncertain terms in an undergrad
conservation biology course was that analogies are very dangerous when you
want to explain science in a politically - charged realm.
For example, if you are studying marine
biology and you
want to find a job in that field, volunteering at a wildlife
conservation centre or helping out with an oil - spill clean - up would be a perfect match.
