«Children Of Men» For a
film which is, ostensibly at least, science fiction (it creates one of the most coherent, fascinating futuristic dystopias ever seen on screen), «Children of Men» sums up our
War - on - Terror, immigration - panic era better than any contemporary
drama could.
Had the
film been just about Jackson and his family's inability to function, Home of the Brave might have stood a chance at being a worthwhile
drama for people who aren't already in families of
war veterans.
