Personally, I enjoy the
challenge of putting together a well - edited travel
wardrobe that will fit
in a carry - on bag.
This was definitely a fun
challenge, and it forced me to think outside the box and envision my current
wardrobe in a new light (which is great for those who have to save their pennies, like me at the moment)!
How does a Winter Capsule

However, it can be quite
challenging to find pieces that are not only trendy, but also mix well with the other pieces
in your already existing
wardrobe.
And while I was initially a bit intimidated
in challenging myself with a more sophisticated
wardrobe update, I'm obsessed with the end result!

Speaking of summer capsule
wardrobes, the Summer 2017 GYPO Style
Challenge opens
in just one week.
I personally found that the last
challenge showed me that I don't need to buy buy buy because I have everything I need
in my
wardrobe already.
I don't have anything velvet - it's a gap
in my
wardrobe for sure (I still think about that burgundy velvet blazer I passed up at the opshop before we did our burgundy and black
challenge, it would have been perfect...).
Remember back
in April when I did the 10 piece
wardrobe challenge?
Participants get a shopping list of
wardrobe basics (for this
challenge, business casual basics) and ten days to get all of their pieces
in place.
But honestly, I always try to
challenge myself and try to work
in new trends into my existing
wardrobe.
It's always our biggest
challenge of the year and it's the easiest way to get your fall
wardrobe in place and know exactly what to wear every...
This is just one of the many reasons why I'm glad I take part
in these
challenges — because it forces me to look at my
wardrobe in a different way and helps me identify where there may be voids to fill.
It's probably because I find it a little
challenging to transition many of the items
in my
wardrobe.
Thanks for the link to the fashionable for the economically
challenged — it is nice to see all body types rockin this look — as well as the different price points to achieve the look On another note I don't think anyone should «get - rid» of boot - cuts
in their denim
wardrobe — they are great of certain days or looks but maybe don't run out and purchase any more for awhile.
That's why I don't think of things such as capsule
wardrobes or capsule kitchens as
challenges to compete
in.
If that's not enough, I have also participated
in several 30 × 30
challenges (select 30 items from your
wardrobe and wear them exclusively for 30 days) and I love to share my Stitch Fix (online designer selects 5 pieces of clothes for you every month, you decide what to buy) boxes.
Whereas, if I would have not trusted your judgment and
challenged myself to see each day's outfit through to completion, I would be stuck
in my old
wardrobe rut, growing frumpier and frumpier with each passing year.
I'm so excited to be kicking off these posts today, as I know that one of my constant
wardrobe challenges is finding different ways to wear items
in my own closet.

In this 10 × 10 capsule
wardrobe challenge, I incorporated floral pieces and statement pieces.
I chose this vintage midi skirt (which I already told you I found
in my aunt's
wardrobe) to be the first
challenge because I loved its fabric.
My daily
challenge is mix and matching items
in my
wardrobe to create stylish outfits which reflect my personality.
