The global
warming denier blogs, where this issue first came up, seem to think that I was being critical of the I.P.C.C. report in the same way as seen from their perspective, and, as a result, I have received e-mails from the denier crowd hailing my remarks and commending me for «speaking up» on this important topic.

FYI, this paper is already being widely cited on
blogs by global
warming deniers as proof that all of the climate models are wrong, wrong, wrong and that the whole concept of anthropogenic GHG - caused
warming has been refuted.
I have no doubt that your
blog entry will be followed by the usual responses: those who
deny the existence of global
warming, those who
deny the link between greenhouse gases and global
warming, those who insist there still isn't enough evidence, and those who can not see beyond the rising prices of gasoline and heating oil.
Since this
blog has given considerable space to the discussions of the global
warming deniers (who have no real basis in serious academic literature), it would only seem fair to review this book by Speth in the NY Times, and then have a discussion of it on this
blog.
In any case, as much as I would like anthropogenic climate change / global
warming / climate destabilization (or however you want to brand it) to be the grand conspiracy that
deniers like to suggest it is, I have yet to read any credible, compelling evidence that stands up to a little investigation, including this
blog post.
Also, there is so much evidence for the MWP that anyone who
denies its existence as a
warm period on Earth doesn't deserve the efforts of this extradorinarily fine
blog.
Then we can post a
blog post «XXX reverses position on humans causing global
warming», citing their worst examples of
denying AGW along with their new quote «we don't
deny AGW».
The skeptical
blog Jammie Wearing Fools wrote, «Fifteen years, no
warming, yet we've endured nonstop hysteria in that time, with skeptics derisively called
deniers, among other pejoratives.
What about the fact the work Klinger relies upon to claim there's this vast conspiracy to
deny global
warming lists climate
blogs like Climate Audit in that conspiracy?
While there are obvious prominent owners of right - leaning media, like Rupert Murdoch of Fox News and News Corporation who are climate change
deniers or «doubters», the media in general in the United States and other key countries has suppressed or downplayed the story of global
warming, delegating it to obscure web - only
blogs or leaving it out entirely of their offerings.
News releases and
blogs on climate
denier web sites have publicized the claim from the paper's news release that «Climate models get energy balance wrong, make too hot forecasts of global
warming».
Various skeptics on various
blogs have come up with unphysical «lags» by which they mean the cooling is just around the corner, but with ever rising GHGs and a
warming planet they are just ultimately setting themselves up for greater embarassment when the promised cooling doesn't materialized, and rather stuck on options for
denying the role of AGW to boot!
Moreover, even if it is true that Anthony Watts does not personally think that there has been no global
warming and is just happy to let others interpret his work that way, you don't need to go very far in this
blog to find all kinds of posts and comments where people just flatly
deny the evidence that there has been global
warming at all.
Many of the skeptics /
deniers seem very passionate about global
warming — regularly commenting on
blogs, news websites, writing to members of the Liberal party etc..
