Just wanted to check something with you, based on recent blog
posts... I have read people are eating this cereal
warm... I just wanted to make sure that everyone knows that
warm is ok, but HOT is NOT... Flax oil turns into trans fat
when heated at high temperatures... so if
warm water is being poured into the cereal, no problem, but if it is boiling water, probably not the best idea... As for the cookie recipe, I have inquired and basically an oven temperature at 350 and below is thought to be safe, so no problem there!

That said, although I believe I understand what he is saying (and I agree with him regarding the confusion, lost credibility, and inaccuracies that often result
when many current weather events are claimed to be a direct result of global
warming), I have a few comments about some aspects of his recent
post.
Read on for the comment I just
posted on the piece, by Katie Herzog *, which hailed the prospect of fewer hills, less traffic and a benefit
when it comes to global
warming: «Yes, it's stressful to know that you're going to die in one of Seattle's 30,000 predicted landslides, but look on the bright side: The carbon footprint of your lifeless body sliding downhill is zero.»
He starts to address this question in his
post, but dribbles off and shifts the focus to a couple of surveys that show people deeply care about global
warming — even
when there's abundant evidence that much of public attitude on climate is, as I've been saying, the equivalent of water sloshing in a shallow pan — lots of fluctuations, little depth or commitment (particularly
when money is involved).

warming is unusual even
when compared with past
warm periods in the last several millenniums (including the recent Kaufman et al. paper discussed here).

When the history of whatever they call the global

If you missed the reams of comments
posted here by people living there, who were telling us that this past winter was much colder than usual, and begging the planet to «send us some of that global
warming», then go back over the archives and tell us they were all wrong, and that those articles are accurate
when they say «The unseasonably
warm and wet winter so far in Britain has coaxed plants into early flowering.»
