Now summertime extremely hot outliers, more than three standard deviations (σ)
warmer than climatology, typically cover about 10 % of the land area.
Arctic Ocean temperatures are 4 degrees

Climatology, who reported that soil bacteria around the Atlantic and Pacific oceans belch more
than 300 times the carbon dioxide released by all fossil fuel emission, strongly implying that humans are not to blame for climate change.
That's certainly what one expects in he majority of local
climatologies in a

In 1880 — 1919, before the appearance of the strong
warming trend over this region, WEIO tended to be anomalously colder
than EEIO most of the time, and thus we see the strong negative events show in Fig. 4, since we have used the
climatology of the entire period from 1880 to 2004 as the reference.
From what I see from the Global Historical
Climatology Network (GHCN) of land temperatures and the Comprehensive Ocean - Atmosphere Data Set (COADS) of SST data, temperatures there were higher around the 1930's
than now, and there is not much long term
warming trend, except for the past few years.
But the newly obtained documents show that Dr. Carlin's highly skeptical views on global
warming, which have been known for more
than a decade within the small unit where he works, have been repeatedly challenged by scientists inside and outside the E.P.A.; that he holds a doctorate in economics, not in atmospheric science or
climatology; that he has never been assigned to work on climate change; and that his comments on the endangerment finding were a product of rushed and at times shoddy scholarship, as he acknowledged Thursday in an interview.

Lindzen has published a couple of hundred papers in
climatology, so I think we can assume he knows that the statement «there has been no statistically significant
warming since 1995» means nothing more
than «given the variability in the data, we need at least 15 observations to reject the null hypothesis at 95 per cent confidence», a fact so trite as not to be worth mentioning.
While I hope this is not the case (for the sake of
climatology going forward beyond the current cult of global
warming) you are to be lauded as one of the few voices with the courage to treat this a scientific issue rather

Other
than its usefulness in deceiving the public about global

Those years were
warmer (globally and in the United States)
than the 1951 — 1980 mean, so it is not surprising that the area with 3σ anomalies was greater

climatology.
South Korea had its hottest summer nights and second hottest summer days since 1954 with summer mean daily minimum temperatures 2.2 ℃
