Even in a luxury high end interior, I just do not see the need for that center mass on top of
wasted seating space.

The style is
wasted in the car
seat and they are so inconvenient when it comes to backseat diaper changes and cramped
space feeding / burping.
With features like cargo net hammocks and 60/40 split
seats that get as close to flat on the floor as they can be, you will never have to worry about letting an inch of the at cargo
space go to
waste.
They blew alot of
wasted space that could be used for storage, ie rear doors and third
seating area.
The
space behind the Z4's front
seats isn't totally
wasted — there's a shelf that's big enough to accommodate a couple of soft bags or coats.
I have to laugh at the
waste of
seats in the rear as you can see they are useless when any real person drives and then they pull them up to make the rear headrests look like big
space from the front headrests and yet they are then so close to the dash which means only small people can drive the car.
The new
seat looks a bit better but I hate the
wasted space at the side of the passenger which I feel could be better utiliised.
Just because you will
seat 20 at your table for Thanksgiving doesn't mean you need to build for that; that's a lot of
wasted space year round.
