I had the brilliant (although obviously not original) idea of raising the kitchen cabinets to the ceiling and putting a floating shelf underneath since I hate
that wasted space above them.
I've been aggravated for years by
the wasted space above our kitchen cabinets, but didn't want to replace them because of A) the expense, B) the difficult of matching 20 - year - old lower cabinets, C) the desire to reduce / reuse / so on, and D) did I mention the unnecessary expense?
A genius idea for small bedrooms: fit a slim wall - to - wall shelf in
the wasted space above the bed.
