My water birth was a different story.

Incredibly beautiful story and so many elements of it took me back to my own home water birth.

Now why would you even think to put that little anecdote in your story if you weren't so very proud of shocking some poor old guy watering his lawn with your birth performance?

i got in the shower & let the water meet my tears & something within me said - «this is the process sokhna, open to the process, open to the process»... that was the light... my mantra became «this is the process», & i returned to the bedroom... maria took my hands, looked me in the eyes & said «this is the process, sokhna...» i knew i was on my way... i rocked, squatted & allowed... maria checked me again & i was softening enough for maria to open the cervix the rest of the way... soon enough maria had massaged the cervix completely open & she told me to push... when she said this i filled with brilliance - i wanted to push, i wanted to feel it, i wanted to see wayana... in just a few pushes wayana kamalah lioneye ra was born - i held her as she came out - i looked at this little one & she looked at me & i told her i was her mother... kayenn came over & i saw a baby in him... this natural birth birthed my heart... i suddenly knew what kayenn needed, what i needed & what wayana would need... the placenta came soon after & maria helped me to bed... i really just wanted to look at my 2 babies - to stand over them & beam light, gratitude & promises of infinite love & support... i wanted a natural birth, i had a natural birth & it continues to this day... i am writing my birth story on wayana's 15 month celebration...

I love looking at these photographs of this water birth taken in December of 2009 because it tells such a warm story surrounding a new life.

The BWF story that just haunts me is the first time mom who had NO prenatal care who gave birth in a log cabin with no electricity, no running water, out in the middle of the woods with snow coving the ground.

Thanks for sharing your story I had a nice and easy pregnancy and birth with my first son, yo yoo come the second pregnancy ok it was not bad but the birth oh God 15 hours in pain my water never broke I just see blood coming out and here it's come the pushing oh God the baby hurt me badly that I have to get the stitching inside there feeling the niddle down there was a extremely painful and I was screaming all the way through the process and now am pregnant again first few weeks was not easy At all but now a moment my second trimesters and am praying for easy birth God help me

Her stories includes two sets of twins, two c - sections, three water births, two home births, four vbacs, three inductions, and four unmedicated births.

Water birth, breech birth, twin birth, Caesarean birth — all are shown in «photo stories», with accompanying text written both by the woman and her midwife, and sometimes also the partner or a child who was present.

Both of them fell in love with the birth process after going through it themselves with their first littles, and now between the two of them have experienced hospital birth, water birth (at All About Babies, of course), home birth and cesarean section, giving them a truly comprehensive understanding of the beauty in each and every birth story

We should have known that things would have been so over the top ridiculous, from a home birth transfer, losing water, no air conditioning, tongue tie, cleft palate, jaundice, hypoplasia to postpartum depression because come on, you can't name your baby «Story» and not expect one to accompany her.
