Additionally, over 250 species of birds, ranging from
water fowl such as pelicans, to majestic bald eagles and horned owls, also call the park home, thanks in part to the wetland environments that make up some of the Elk Island's topography.
This is one of the reasons why most traditional cultures consume some sort of animal food,
such as bone broths, fish and shellfish, land and
water fowl, land and sea mammals, eggs, milk and dairy products, reptiles, and even insects.
