This Apple Cider Vinegar Berry Sparkler
recipe combines a berry fruit juice (I use cranberry), sparkling
water, a sweetener, if desired (honey, maple
syrup or whatever you prefer) with Pompeian Organic Apple Cider Vinegar.
I made this
recipe yesterday, and I saved both the concentrated ginger
water after boiling, and saved the honey ginger
syrup to use for teas and cool ginger drinks I just added some to my

I have adjusted the

Edit: I reduced the amount of
water in the
recipe from 2 cups to 1 cup to cut down on the cooking time so that you get thicker
syrup much more quickly.

syrup, could you use
water as my old sourdough
recipe does?
Substituted Honeyville Almond Meal (have used Trader Joe's in the past successfully too), a simple
syrup because I was out of honey (Cook equal parts
water to organic cane sugar, added vanilla for flavor, then cool to use in this
recipe), added additional 1/2 tsp baking powder just for fun, Decaf instant coffee, and Enjoy Life chocolate chunks.
I didn't have any commercial date
syrup so I'm using home - made date paste from Russell James»
recipe, just 1 c dates and 1 1/2 c
water.
The
recipe called for sunflower seeds, flax seeds, hazelnuts or almonds, rolled oats, chia seeds, psyllium seed husks (or psyllium husk powder), sea salt, maple
syrup, coconut oil and

Note that when I tried the
recipe I used aluminum foil instead of parchment, 1/2 cup whole walnuts instead of the hemp, 1/4 cup maple
syrup and 1/4 cup
water combo instead of the apple juice.
I make the
recipe less sweet by substituting 1 Tbsp maple
syrup with 3 Tbsp
water for the 1/4 cup maple
syrup.

So use this as a word of caution for those of you wishing to make this
recipe — and if you need more sweetness, substitute the
water with maple
syrup instead and you should be golden.
Coconut Milk Overnight Oats
Recipe (vegan) 1/4 cup old fashioned oats, toasted * 1 teaspoon chia seeds 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon few grains fine sea salt 1/4 cup full fat coconut milk 1/4 cup
water or nut milk (almond or cashew) 1 teaspoon pure maple
syrup 1 fresh ripe peach, cut up 1 to 2 teaspoons shelled hemp seeds
If you desire to keep your quince for up to one month, I'd suggest going with a more concentrated sugar
syrup (2 parts
water to one part sugar; that would be 2.3 cups sugar for this
recipe).
Directions: Butter a loaf pan (the original
recipe uses a silicon loaf pan, so skip the butter if you have one) / Put all the dry ingredients into a large mixing bowl and mix well / Meanwhile in a small saucepan, melt the butter, remove from the heat, add the maple
syrup and
water / Add the wet ingredients together with the dry and mix well / Put into your loaf pan and smooth the top with the back of spoon / Let it sit out on the counter for at least 2 hours, or all day or even overnight (I've tried all three with good success).
The
recipe says to combine wet ingredients separately and then add to the dry; I skipped this and just mixed the maple
syrup, oil, and
water into the dry ingredients directly.
The dates dissolve in the
water and produce a gorgeous yet very healthy
syrup that you can use in all your
recipes.
I just want to add one teensy thing... after you put the «other 1/2 cup» of
water into the small pot with the honey, maple
syrup, sea salt (and vanilla — the
recipe forgot to say that), cook it to 240 degrees F over medium - low heat and remove it right when it hits 240.
Be careful with liquid measurements - The amount of liquid in coconut flour
recipes (including that derived from milks,
water, eggs,
syrups and oils) is very specific and should be followed meticulously according to provided measurements.
