[1] CO2 absorbs IR, is the main GHG, human
emissions are increasing its concentration in the atmosphere, raising temperatures globally; the second GHG,
water vapor, exists in equilibrium with
water / ice, would precipitate out if not for the CO2, so acts as a feedback; since the oceans cover so much of the planet,
water is a large positive feedback; melting snow and ice as the atmosphere warms decreases albedo, another positive feedback, biased toward the poles, which gives larger polar warming
than the global average; decreasing the temperature gradient from the equator to the poles is reducing the driving forces for the jetstream; the jetstream's meanders are increasing in amplitude and slowing, just like the lower Missippi River where its driving gradient decreases; the larger slower meanders increase the amplitude and duration of blocking highs, increasing drought and extreme temperatures — and 30,000 + Europeans and 5,000 plus Russians die, and the US corn crop, Russian wheat crop, and Aussie wildland fire protection fails — or extreme rainfall floods the US, France, Pakistan, Thailand (driving up prices for disk drives — hows that for unexpected adverse impacts from AGW?)

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE An extensive new study by climate impact researchers warns that humans will struggle to cope with drastic and rapid changes to the planet unless greenhouse gas
emissions rates are cut now London, 8 October − Allowing the Earth's temperature to rise by more
than 2ºC will see dramatic changes in vegetation across the planet and expose a billion more people to severe
water scarcity, according to new research.
Water vapor is the most abundant greenhouse gas, but it is more often
than not a result of climate changes rather
than man - made
emissions.
In a story published on the WSU website and now getting wide distribution Deemer said she measured dissolved gases in the
water column of Lacamas Lake in Clark County and found that methane
emissions — a substance 25 times more effective
than carbon dioxide at trapping heat in the atmosphere — jumped 20-fold when the
water level was drawn down.
That means the
emission probability for excited CO2 (and
water vapor) is significantly greater
than zero and explains the observed
emission spectra which show strong CO2 (and
water vapor)
emission spectral features rather
than the continuum
emission that would be expected if nitrogen
emission dominated.

In the marine environment, ebullition - based
emissions to the atmosphere are thought to be negligible in
waters deeper
than 100 meters because of the dissolution of bubbles en route from sediments to the atmosphere (McGinnis et al. 2006), and a recent study of north temperate lakes reported that ebullition rarely occurred at sites deeper
than 6 meters (West et al. 2015a).

emissions from fossil fuel used to accomplish the task.
