Lions lazed in the
midday heat in the Serengeti; rotis sizzled in a clay oven on Zanzibar island; the
waves peacefully grazed the sandy banks
of Lake Malawi.
The highlight
of th day was when a bunch
of the boys went out to 4 Bobs around
midday and they hadn't been in the lineup 1 minute before the set
of the swell came through and dished out around 5 or more double overhead plus
waves on their head that washed them almost to the beach!
By
midday there was still plenty
of waves coming through and the contest was still firing on all 8 cylindars.
The tide was still filling in for a
midday high and
wave height was hitting the Main Peak and Temple sections in the 4 - 6ft class with the odd
wave barreling off on the top
of the Racetrack section.
Around
midday or shortly there after our new swell did start to show itself and
wave height was increasing with each new batch
of sets.
NB: another check on the situation @ 12.00
midday was showing
wave height now down in the 1 - 2ft + sector and hardly breaking with the top
of the tide just passing.
Hopefully by
midday tomorrow we should see a little bit
of an improvement in
wave height, so stay tuned.
