24 points behind already at the half
way point Wenger will surely see this as a challenge...

I support
Wenger but not because I am a «fanboy» but because I believe in his values, I disagree with a lot he has done, and maybe he should leave the club to pave
way for fresh ideas, but the
point I was trying to make is that we can still turn this season into something we can be proud of, if we don't then come June I expect that we will (respectively) call for change and it will be our duty to make the board listen, but June is still a half a season away.
We are at this
Point about as far away from a side that can effectively compete for the title as we have ever been, The first half was a «no show» for the players and while the
way the players actually perform on the day is not 100 %
Wengers fault, the fact that he has no players on the bench to replace non performing players is entirely his fault.
I understand that a
way to keep Lecoq is to not sign a Dm in the moment but I may
point that we had him from the start of the season and if
Wenger was doing well his job he would have used him earlier and we would not maybe be fifth in the table.

Wenger's wizards seek to get back to winning
ways after picking up just one
point from their last two league games.
Wenger is just too stubborn is the problem.we have a very strong chance of winning it this season (bpl) but if
Wenger had gotten two outfield players in d summer (a fwd and cdm) we would have been sitting at d peak with at least 9
points off the rest d rest by now.but alas his egocentric stubbornness and blind loyalty to some average players in d team is giving us heart aches.however I still see us winning d league this season only that we'll b doing it in a cinderella story
way
you got ta love the comments on this site... the
way people are cussing and abusing
Wenger, you would bet we are 20
points behind the log leaders.
most of the lads looked commited today and fought all the
way till the end but
wenger lost the
points plain and simple.
The three
points sees Arsenal close to within three
points of top spot and Arsene
Wenger will be pleased at the
way his side rallied in the last seconds to clinch the win at the Emirates.
if you are really good enough to win the title and have players really up for it and a manager who knows how to bring out the best in them then YOU FIND A
WAY to score the goals needed to get at least 6
points from 12... bottom line is this... AFC under
Wenger has a loser mentality, SIMPLE..
Arsene
Wenger does appear to have a
point when he continually refers to the
way his team is occasionally singled out for attention as it appears that some teams have no other
way to deal with the
way the Gunners play other than to meat out punishment to attempt scare the north London side.
Unfortunately the only people that can remove him is the ones that put him in charge of arsenal and the only
way the board will move against
wenger is when he does not meet their expectations, have you heard any one of the board members come out and say fourth is not acceptable, for several years he has guarantee the board money from the champions league, they also have several agreements or contract signed with major companies, all that
points to money coming back to the board.
That
point is
Wenger could have missed out on this player because of his penny pinching
ways!
my
point is, we are not better than last year without alexis plus lacazzete... we need a lot more that that just to be in the same level... but we need more that that, we deserve more than that... we fault with the first and most important step to do that and we have to wait two more years now, but besides that... we need to be better on the transfer line, because in the other
way to get better in
wengers words, we are not stepping foward
Mate, the
way you go on I can't imagine you enjoying ANY game at the Emirates until

Wenger can concentrate on is trying to claw his
way back into the «
Wenger Trophy» positions where we currently lie 4

It's so «SAAAAAAD» that Arsene
wenger philosophy and Sentiment have blinded you to the
Point that you have Failed to realise that the World has moved on from the past football ideas that Players are more happy winning Trophies these days than Playing football like an Academy. You claimed
wenger said he wanted to build a team that plays football and is recognised for the
way it plays and bla bla bla.
Eveything once again
points to a shambles for the oncoming Season... Hopefully this won't lead to infighting amongst the fans and Jens might actually be allowed to motivate the team in his own inimitable
way... which might result in similar displays to that laid down in the FA Cup Final.Whatever the ineptitude of
Wenger there remains a core of fairly decent players who can «achieve» on their day... We as supporters all can.
nice to see you crawl out of your hole just in time to offer your 2 cents worth once again... unlike yourself I started following this team long before
Wenger arrived on the scene and will continue to do so long after he's gone... in his earlier years I admired the cerebral elements he brought to the EPL, which at that
point was more brutish than beautiful, and I respected the seemingly tireless efforts of Arsene, Dein & staff to uncover and develop talent without sacrificing the product on the field... likewise I appreciated that such a youthful manager wasn't afraid to bring strong personalities and / or world - class players into the fold without being fearful of how said players would potentially undermine and / or dilute his authority... unfortunately this all changed about 10 years ago and culminated in the removal of all our greatest players, both young and old, without any real replacements coming in... from Henry to RVP to Fabergas and Nasri, it was easy to see that this club was no longer interested in competing at the highest levels... instead of being honest, minus the ridiculous claims regarding the new stadium,
Wenger chose to side with management and in doing so became the «front man» for this corporation pretending to be a world - class soccer club... without the «front man» this organization would have been exposed numerous years earlier, so his presence was imperative if the facade was to continue... it's for this reason and more that I despise what this once great man and Kroenke has done to my beloved club... the gutless, shameful and manipulative
way they have treated the fans, like myself, is largely indefensible and this is why I felt it necessary to start offering my opinion in a public format... trust me, I resisted the temptation for many years but as long as the same shit continues to exist I will voice my opinions and if you don't like it maybe you should look for a different team to pretend to follow
we were awful for 60 mins and fortunate to be just one down and the good... we took a
point from being decent for 30 mins all but securing third place... As for realism it's simple... There is no
way a real arsenal fan could watch that performance and be confident that we will be challenging for title in 12 months time... So if that is what we want the realist fan asks what needs to change... and if we rule out the first best option... which as a realist I do... to get rid of
wenger... then in our second best world it's a matter of where we need to strengthen... Sadly at the
point realism breaks down because in the absence of first best option we are in the fantasy world of the cheese eating surrender monkey where 11 yr olds are zee future of zee club
While Arsenal do not really have anything to play for, Premier League
points and position wise, against West Brom at the Emirates stadium today, Arsene
Wenger and the players will be very keen to get back to winning
ways ahead of the crucial clash against Aston Villa at Wembley next weekend.
Wenger could not do it even if we were given 10
points in advance, he will always find a
way to f*ck it up.
... Stubbornness, Ignorance, arrogant or just plain indenial, Maybe
Wenger is trying to prove a
point here, In his own deluded
way of course?
Wenger needs to play our best 11 in string of games only
way to build a team likes of iwobi ox coq Walcott Ramsey ok for league and fa cup but none close to quality needed to challenge top teams... Truth is this psg team would not be in contention in EPL... But
point will do
Another talking
point is that Arsene
Wenger is currently in the last year of his contract, so unless he is to sign another extension, he really needs to achieve something big as a
way to end his 21 year legacy at the helm of the club.
The only
way the squad would be refreshed would have to follow a change of the manager,
Wenger is
Wenger (which IS AFC at this
point in time), while things are as they are regarding organization and management, what you see is what you get: same ol, same ol...
Assuming a new manager doesn't pull in the kind of money that
Wenger is making, it seems to me the only
way Stan et all would lose money is if Arsenal drop out of the top four and performances suffer to the
point that people don't buy the kit etc..
And when you look back at the last decade, none of those youngsters have progressed in the
way that they were hyped up to and yes I'm talking about the likes of Ramsey, Walcott, Jack Wheelchair and the Ox who all had a one season wonder of some sort, during one
point in their Arsenal careers, thus far and We can't keep using this excuse for not buying ready made quality, which would instantly improve our chances of winning a major trophy or two, but No,
Wenger wants to stick with a theory which clearly isn't working for us on the pitch, but he doesn't really care, as long as it works out well for saving the penny's and the pounds, in the place where it matters most for Arsenal fc, in the bank.
Look, in one
way or the other, I think we can all concur that Arsene
Wenger's a legend in the sport... and according to the grapevine, a fashionista of some sort as well, but that's beside the
point.
So I can understand why the pundit and former Arsenal striker Charlie Nicholas is looking at the
way the Gunners got that
point against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and suggesting in a Sky Sports report that Arsene
Wenger drops the club's two big name stars Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil, because they were absent from that game as well and it seemed to work out pretty well for us.
A quick look at the recent run of Arsenal results suggests that Arsene
Wenger has every right to
point to the
way his team have defended as a major reason why Arsenal are in the sticky situation we currently find ourselves in.
Disappointment in the pre-season transfer window, followed by rationalizations of why we should give the team and
Wenger a chance and not write them off before a ball is kicked in anger, followed by analyzing each set back as «too early to panic» followed by excuses about injuries and referees, followed by anger and disappointment after the inevitable reality sets in and Arsenal are effectively eliminated from the PL race before the year is even finished and the PL has reached its half
way point.
l still cant belive how bad we are i really thought we would be good this year no CL to tire out the best and a free run at the league... What a fool i was id like to say sorry to all Arsenal fans who i may have disagreed with your posts before i admit im wrong tho id love
Wenger to prove the world wrong and win the league its not happing no matter how much i want it No
point us fighting with each other when we all want the same even if differnet
ways but you guys know deep doen we need a new Manager and some one who will kick the lasy ass bitches we have playing for 1000s pounds each week up the dam arse and make them earn what they get paid... lf someone in my job did nt do there bit i tell u wouldnt be working long.
Great assessment but for it to happen more so over the course of the season: 1) Sanchez & Walcott must continue to score 1st and if not assist as they do at the moment 2) Özil has to be consistent & help our offense flow continuously 3) Gabriel & Bellerin must continue to progress the
way they do 4) Ox has to found some end product & be more strong defensively 5) Cech has to keep pulling those saves 6) Coquelin not getting injured + Ramsey & Cazorla getting a couple 7)
Wenger's getting his tactics & subs close to on
point albeit a few occasions
The writer is on
point on letting go of some players but the person I would really like to see leave Arsenal 1st is
Wenger, his responsible for assembling this team and the
way there playing.
It is going down to the wire this season and next season it is hostile environment
Wenger will be in and a title will go a long
way in helping him get some
points for staying in line with the Europe's biggest.
This is an incredibly difficult question to answer for a variety of reasons, most importantly because over the years our once vaunted «beautiful» style of play has become a shadow of it's former self, only to be replaced by a less than stellar «plug and play» mentality where players play out of position and adjustments / substitutions are rarely forthcoming before the 75th minute... if you look at our current players, very few would make sense in the traditional Wengerian system... at present, we don't have the personnel to move the ball quickly from deep - lying position, efficient one touch midfielders that can make the necessary through balls or the disciplined and pacey forwards to stretch defences into wide positions, without the aid of the backs coming up into the final 3rd, so that we can attack the defensive lanes in the same clinical fashion we did years ago... on this current squad, we have only 1 central defender on staf, Mustafi, who seems to have any prowess in the offensive zone or who can even pass two zones through so that we can advance play quickly out of our own end (I have seen some inklings that suggest Holding might have some offensive qualities but too early to tell)... unfortunately Mustafi has a tendency to get himself in trouble when he gets overly aggressive on the ball... from our backs out wide, we've seen pace from the likes of Bellerin and Gibbs and the spirited albeit offensively stunted play of Monreal, but none of these players possess the skill - set required in the offensive zone for the new
Wenger scheme which requires deft touches, timely runs to the baseline and consistent crossing, especially when Giroud was playing and his ratio of scored goals per clear chances was relatively low (better last year though)... obviously I like Bellerin's future prospects, as you can't teach pace, but I do worry that he regressed last season, which was obvious to
Wenger because there was no
way he would have used Ox as the right side wing - back so often knowing that Barcelona could come calling in the off - season, if he thought otherwise... as for our midfielders, not a single one, minus the more confident Xhaka I watched played for the Swiss national team a couple years ago, who truly makes sense under the traditional
Wenger model... Ramsey holds onto the ball too long, gives the ball away cheaply far too often and abandons his defensive responsibilities on a regular basis (doesn't score enough recently to justify): that being said, I've always thought he does possess a little something special, unfortunately he thinks so too... Xhaka is a little too slow to ever boss the midfield and he tends to telegraph his one true strength, his long ball play: although I must admit he did get a bit better during some
points in the latter part of last season... it always made me wonder why whenever he played with Coq
Wenger always seemed to play Francis in a more advanced role on the pitch... as for Coq, he is
way too reckless at the wrong times and has exhibited little offensive prowess yet finds himself in and around the box far too often... let's face it
Wenger was ready to throw him in the trash heap when injuries forced him to use Francis and then he had the nerve to act like this was all part of a bigger
Wenger constructed plan... he like Ramsey, Xhaka and Elneny don't offer the skills necessary to satisfy the quick transitory nature of our old offensive scheme or the stout defensive mindset needed to protect the defensive zone so that our offensive players can remain aggressive in the final third... on the front end, we have Ozil, a player of immense skill but stunted by his physical demeanor that tends to offend, the fact that he's been played out of position far too many times since arriving and that the players in front of him, minus Sanchez, make little to no sense considering what he has to offer (especially Giroud); just think about the quick counter-attack offence in Real or the space and protection he receives in the German National team's midfield, where teams couldn't afford to focus too heavily on one individual... this player was a passing «specialist» long before he arrived in North London, so only an arrogant or ignorant individual would try to reinvent the wheel and / or not surround such a talent with the necessary components... in regards to Ox, Walcott and Welbeck, although they all possess serious talents I see them in large part as headless chickens who are on the injury table too much, lack the necessary first - touch and / or lack the finishing flair to warrant their inclusion in a regular starting eleven; I would say that, of the 3, Ox showed the most upside once we went to a back 3, but even he became a bit too consumed by his pending contract talks before the season ended and that concerned me a bit... if I had to choose one of those 3 players to stay on it would be Ox due to his potential as a plausible alternative to Bellerin in that wing - back position should we continue to use that formation... in Sanchez, we get one of the most committed skill players we've seen on this squad for some years but that could all change soon, if it hasn't already of course... strangely enough, even he doesn't make sense given the constructs of the original
Wenger offensive model because he holds onto the ball too long and he will give the ball up a little too often in the offensive zone... a fact that is largely forgotten due to his infectious energy and the fact that the numbers he has achieved seem to justify the means... finally, and in many
ways most crucially, Giroud, there is nothing about this team or the offensive system that
Wenger has traditionally employed that would even suggest such a player would make sense as a starter... too slow, too inefficient and
way too easily dispossessed... once again, I think he has some special skills and, at times, has showed some world - class qualities but he's lack of mobility is an albatross around the necks of our offence... so when you ask who would be our best starting 11, I don't have a clue because of the 5 or 6 players that truly deserve a place in this side, 1 just arrived, 3 aren't under contract beyond 2018 and the other was just sold to Juve... man, this is theraputic because following this team is like an addiction to heroin without the benefits
Ezat has got a
point,
Wenger in a
way has to take the blame for the injuries and the situation we are now in.
Fan support is vital to any team either in winning or losing unfortunately arsenal fans are loggerheads to the
point of being a civil war and you know who to blame the spineless board and the manager, I'm not advocating being nasty to
wenger but should have insisted on certain parameters being met, it's OK he did well on keeping the club on good financial level when we moved to the Emirates and then should have moved him upstairs 2 - 3 years ago and that would have cemented his legacy but now things are just stagnant and desperately trying to find a
way out
With Petr Cech's invincibility looking a little suspect this season, and David Ospina known to be inconsistent, it would have made sense to bring Szczesny back at some
point considering his improvement, but it looks like the only
way that could happen is if
Wenger leaves this summer....
You might blame
Wenger and I will blame Gazidis, either
way that partnership has failed us fans countless years, I know
Wenger isn't strong at transfers and will agree with other fans on that
point... but isn't that why managers have support?
The reality is that both AOB and AKB have valid
points... at the end we won't fully know what's going on inside the club 100 % unless your a board member but most likely won't be allowed to expand yourself... that being said singling out
Wenger the
way it's done is simply not right... the board, the manager & the players all should share the blame for what's happening that is all and YES winning trophies when that hasn't been the case for a LT is progress... not as much as you and myself would like but it is what it is!!
However, the tale of the second half was a stark contrast of the
way the first period panned out and to be honest,
Wenger would have been gutted if his side failed to come away with all three
points.
Either
way, we're stuck with
wenger until his contract runs out so no
point in debating this topic atm.
Watch closely now
Wenger will not buy in this window just to make a
point it is his
way all the
way and the Fan's can take a run and jump, but just keep spending your hard earned money so he can pocket his 8m plus for keeping the board happy and FXXX the Fan's.
Wenger himself doesn't want to spend all in the name of «I have not got the right quality in the market, the prices are
way above their actual valuation» etc. but even if he does buy, it's difficult to believe anything could easily change at the moment because he doesn't have guts to
point fingers at players who even make serial mistakes e.g. xhaka in three consecutive games, his three mistaken passes have resulted into three goals which I doubt a coach like maurinho can tolerate.
Signing players at the age of 28 - 29 isn't really the
Wenger way and there's little
point to waste their few remaining good years under Arsene.
At this
point the only
way wenger will leave arsenal is if we get relegated.
Wenger needs to transfer some players in and some players out just as importantly — I don't even care who leaves at this
point (But Sanogo has got to make
way, for anyone else).
Mourinho will, if the past is an indication and seeing how scared
Wenger was of Man U when played them earlier this season, playing not to lose despite Man U not playing very well at the time, will find a
way to beat us in the head - to - head, this means we would be 1
point ahead of Man U if Spurs beat us in the head - to - head they are 2
points infront of us.
