blog post ideas (want to get a jump on it before everyone else) and this is a great
way to begin that trend.
What's hard, is trying to push through this and find a
way to dialogue which is what I
think NP is getting at... and what I have been learning a lot
about lately, partly thanks to this

blog only complain
about life and want everything changed to their
way of
thinking or not
thinking, for doing absolutely nothing in life.
i am undergoing such a change in the
way i
think about God and religion and reading some of your articles has been very refreshing — right now i am part of a very fundamental church and i need to get out - i am tired of the judgement and looking at people as «saved» and «unsaved» (we recently had a church event where if you brought an «unsaved» friend they got to rollerskate for free - i wanted to vomit)- i just want to follow Jesus - do nt know where to go but i do want to stay part of a church (for the sake of my children)- i saw somewhere on your
blog that you too are in the hudson valley — are there any churches you can recommend that fall in line with your
way of
thinking?
And... I can
think of many reasons why certain group of people might not be here, (a ssuming for the moment that your question is accurate), How
about... why would «gays» want to be on a belief
blog where there are Christians who constantly claim they are an abomination and going to burn in hell, and they are not worthy of God's love, unless they «change their sinning
ways.»
Part of me cringes
about writing
about him on a
blog, but another part of me
thinks that might be a good
way to honor him.
If you are a
blog reader, this is a great
way to read a book which may challenge your
thinking, while interacting
about the ideas of the book with other people around the world.
I
thought about the variety of faith backgrounds represented on this
blog — Catholics, Lutherans, Baptists, Presbyterians, conservative evangelicals, agnostics, Mennonites, Methodists, Pentecostals, doubters, skeptics, fundamentalists, disenfranchised fundamentalists, religious scholars, and religious misfits — and all I could
think to say was, «My
blog attracts people who are in transition... or who have recently transitioned... from one
way of approaching their faith to another.»
I
think before I was on this
blog I probably believe close to the same
way, but I have tried to learn more
about my own beliefs, plus
about science and evolution, although science isnt really one of my best subjects.
It know it will always be hard to describe what exactly you do or exactly who you are, but form the
blog and your creative environment and your definitions and words and visuals and job description and personal profile to you (not the other
way around), and don't worry
about people misunderstanding or misreading or
thinking it is something else or expecting something more or less, that will always happen and that very thing, in fact, proves to be the greatest opportunity to learn to communicate better and more clearly (at least for me).
The chapter on the Trinity profoundly changed the
way I
think about self - sacrifice and interdependence, particularly as a woman, so I knew the moment I finished the book I had to have the author on the
blog.
Heidi's
blog was one of the first that I ever stumbled upon, and it has completely shaped the
way that I cook and
think about cooking.
I have always felt this
way about his
blog but never said a word because I
thought I'd be stoned to death or something.
I've been cooking my
way through your books and
blog for the past 9 months, and then randomly watched forks over knives last night, started obsessing
about how much oil I cook with,
thought about how much investment there is in oil in my cupboard (it's like Texas in there), went on amazon to look at their cookbook, and who, but who, is one of the contributors?
I already noted your event post, the day you posted it - and no
way I'm missing it:) I had
thought about making this weekend breakfast blogging public, but was wondering
about the response as my
blog isn't one of the hottest visited ones yet - But if you
think it can be done, it will be a wonderful idea... Do give me a few tips;)

I had never really
thought about making my own scones until I was chatting with a

I've learned a thing or two over the last few months
about hoodwinking / cajoling readers into looking at
blog pages, much to their chagrin, and Monday's blogging bootcamp really got me
thinking about how to do it in a systematic
way.
Even though she is aware that the name of the
blog is too long, she definitely
thought it would make a bigger impression this
way, and she was right
about that!
