Regarding the
launch line - up, that quite a few people find
weak, Tatsumi Kimishima explains that the main reason behing their reasoning was to space out releases, in order to have new games released on a regular basis (without big gaps in - between
titles).
Reggie: Well, we're afraid our new console, the Wii U 2, is substantially
weaker than the PS5 and the Xbox 2, and it's also devoid of any gimmicky controller... Audience: * awkward silence * Reggie:... but we have a new Zelda, a new Metroid, a new StarFox, a new F - Zero, 3 new IPS, a Majora's Mask remake and they're all
launch titles!
I feel that the first party
titles are alittle
weak at
launch.
A particular thread
titled «
Weak Wifi Pages» has already had 10,000 hits in just 48 hours of the iPad being
launched, which can be an indication of things not working out the way it should have been.
If they released that same game as an N64
launch title it would have been seen as a
weak effort.
That's
weak, but I wouldn't expect any less from a PS4
launch title that won't be out until a year after the PS4
