There aren't really a huge
variety of
weapons here though so it is fairly
basic in that sense.
Although you start with the Mana Sword, each of the three characters can gain a
variety of other different
weapons, but all are used in the same
basic fashion: press the button and wait for a little meter to build up to 100 % before you unleash the most powerful attack possible.
Like your various cybernetic enhancements,
weapons can also be upgraded to make them even more deadly, which is great as the selection on offer doesn't boost a massive amount of
variety, instead simply covering the
basics of pistol, sniper rifle, combat rifle etc..
All the
basics are still there; you still have the blistering speeds, the
variety of
weapons you pick up by zooming over a lit patch of the course, and the satisfaction from making that jerk who just cut you off blow up in your face.
The goo can be used to up
basic stats such as health and melee damage, but you'll also be able to improve your individual
weapons in a
variety of different ways too.
However, the
basic formula has nearly always remained the same; worms take turns in their quest to obliterate the other team with a
variety of
weapons.
Crack it open to receive a
variety of items, including
basic weapons, armour and fruit, and a chance at a Master Sword, Champion's Tunic or Hylian Shield - there's no guarantee you'll receive a Zelda item in each chest.
The game, while early, is doing some interesting stuff with platforming — there's a kind of sticky wall jump / wall hang move that allows you to check out an area before you jump into it, and while the combat is pretty
basic, there's a nice little
variety of
weapons.

There is the standard
variety of
weapons which will determine your
basic play - style.
When it comes to shopping for pantry ingredients, I've learned that
variety does not matter as much as making sure you've got those «secret
weapon» ingredients, the can't - live - without - out - them
basics that usually don't cost much but can make a meal appear out of nowhere.
