Ship to ship combat, faster - than - light - travel, and some futuristic
weapons all sound nice.
Sound: 8 Some good voice acting is in there and
weapons sound nice and chunky along with crisp sound effects.

LIke the Bolter, the other
weapons proved to be equally awesome to play with, each
sounding nice and meaty and giving satisfying results, and that's what I really want from some futuristic
weapons; bugger the sci - fi squeals, give me bangs!
Combat is done in 3rd person with no cover system, effectively making a run «n» gun but thankfully all the
weapons feel very chunky and
sound great so you get a
nice kick from using them, combine that with amazing explosions both in terms of graphics and
sound and combat is a fun experiance, though it's crying out for a cover system.
The rest of the audio effects have been reworked to provide more dynamic range and add more weight to the
sounds of explosions and gunfire, with the satisfying click of your
weapon reloading even being filtered through the Dualshock 4 controller, which is a
nice touch.
Macross is practically defined by its use of missiles, so it's
nice to see them come to center stage with a game mechanic rather than leaving them as a «fire and forget» type
weapon while focusing mainly on the gunpod's aim, but at the same time it
sounds intimidating considering Macross games already have you juggling between three different forms.
Sound wise, Infinity Ward has done a
nice job with the
weapons.
