I think it's really interesting that most of the items I
wore the most had already been in my
wardrobe for 3
years or more.

wearing lighter colors this time of
year, to brighten up my

Of course I believe in investing in a quality pair of shoes, a timeless handbag, or a jacket I'll

years to come, but for the most part I keep my

Although I've graduated from those old tennies, I think it's cool that
years later, I'm also
wearing a print all too reminiscent of my
wardrobe's past.
I won't be
wearing them to work but they were a staple in last
year's summer casual
wardrobe.
I strongly believe in investing in the fundamental
wardrobe pieces that will never go out of style and that you'll be able to
wear countless ways for
years and
years to come.
While he won't be a monthly «fix» getter (just not realistic for his lifestyle and for the way he buys and
wears clothes), I think getting a fix for him a couple times a
year or once a quarter is a great way for him to shop efficiently AND invest in new pieces for his
wardrobe that he will
wear till he's got holes in them.
It also allows me to explore the idea of a capsule
wardrobe more realistically, because I have data backing up what I actually
wear at different times of the
year.
The last five summers have meant starting completely over when it came to my warm weather
wardrobe (something I
wear 75 % of the
year here in Austin).
